"The view from our room was very nice. Although on the first floor with a limited sightline it was still nice. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, as it was very limited and the restaurant provided no real service. It might just as well had been a refrigerator in the lobby of the hotel. It is a "continental" style breakfast, but think very basic "continental". Our room also had a plumbing problem when we checked-in and it took about 1.5 hours to repair. We had to have the water off and could not use the washroom. In addition, the sliding door onto the patio would not lock, so we left the room open when we were gone, or had to close the electric hurricane blinds to secure the room. "
"Very good location. Good access to restaurants for dinner and beach bars for lunch. Breakfast was fine.
Rooms are clean. Water is not drinkable and sometimes smells. Property is very strict, only 1 espresso pod per person per night. Only one beach towel and it needs to be exchanged via towel card. Also no outside food or drinks on the beach chairs.
The ocean view rooms, ocean view is marjinal."
Orient Bay Village, St. Martin
Walking Distance To Club Orient
10/10 Excellent
"This was the most well-equipped rental that we have stayed at. While we didn't cook here, had we, everything needed was available. The condo has top of the line appliances in good working order. Of special note is the combo washer and dryer. Other rentals that we have stayed in only had a washer and a rack to dry your clothes. The unit is exceptionally quiet. During our 10 days stay I never heard a neighbor. The directions provided to the unit brought us directly to the front door. The condo is located in a gated community that is regularly patrolled by security. Seeing them regularly provided a sense of security. There are several outstanding restaurants within a 5-minute walk. The beach is minutes away too. There is a small market within walking distance too. You could stay here and never leave the area for your entire stay. There nothing that one would need that the condo doesn't have or one can't buy within an easy walk. I would consider renting this unit again."
New Luxurious Villa FLEURS DE LYS, Sea view and swimming pool
10/10 Excellent
"I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is gorgeous - inside and out. You feel like you’ve been transported to a chateau in Paris. The home is pristine, gorgeous pool and view. And A. Only suggestion to visitors would s you may want to rent a car. You can walk to town which has great restaurants and beach club but if you want to see the other islands a car is helpful. "
Quiet luxury Villa "Anyway...Orient Bay !" 1' to beach,private pool, cistern 8+

"We had a wonderful stay at this Orient Bay villa and would gladly return. Anna was a joy to work with—her communication was prompt and clear, and she made check-in and check-out effortless while also being genuinely friendly and helpful throughout. The home was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from appliances to everyday conveniences. The private pool was an added plus and made relaxing at the villa even more enjoyable. The location is hard to beat—just minutes from Orient Bay Village shops, restaurants, and the beach, making everything easy and convenient. Overall, a clean, well-supplied, and perfectly located property that we would absolutely plan future trips around."
"This was our first time staying on the French side, at Esmeralda. Overall, it is a decent resort; it consists of small villages, each containing four guest rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, and every village shares a swimming pool among its four units. The resort grounds feature a French restaurant serving very delicious food. Another nice perk is that the resort has its own private beach area, for which you can make reservations. There is a designated parking spot right next to your village, which is very convenient. Now, for the things we didn't like: First, beach towels are issued only at the reception desk, which is located quite far from the beach itself; if you need to exchange a towel, you have to walk all the way back to reception. Second, regarding the "included breakfast": in reality, it does not correspond to a "continental breakfast" as we understand it in the American sense. The breakfast offering consists of coffee, a small croissant, and jam, along with one type of cereal and a yogurt-like product that tastes more like sour cream. There is no cream cheese, no eggs—nothing of the sort; you have to pay extra for all of those items. We have stayed on the Dutch side many times, and the included continental breakfast there was a completely different experience. Third, beach reservations must be made either at the reception desk or directly at the beach itself. We made our reservation immediately upon arrival"
