If you're looking for a beautiful, unique and relaxing property for a getaway then this is definitely it! Villa Agnes is a former Captain's house which has been beautifully restored by its present owners, with a good mix of original and modern features, and with beautiful antique and shabby chic furniture. Just staying at the property makes you feel very special, and whilst you do get some people looking through the gate at the end of the lovely garden and pool area to take photographs, it made us realise how lucky we were to be stopping in such a special historical property. Villa Agnes is just a few metres from the pebble/rocky beach on the main promenade, so you're close to everything you need whilst having a lovely secluded and relaxing feel. The pool is an absolute godsend when it's hot and is bigger than it looks in the photos. Betina the housekeeper is very helpful and responds to any queries immediately, as did the owners during the booking process. The property has aircon in the two main (front) bedrooms and top bedroom and in the dining room. I don't think it had it in two of the bedrooms, so if I'm right that would be a nice addition in the future as I would definitely like to go back with others and aircon in every bedroom would be ideal. Orebic itself is lovely in September when the crowds have died down and is just a 15 minute ferry ride from the beautiful Korcula Island (otherwise known as the mini Dubrovnik!) , which we visited twice as it's so close. This really is the perfect place to stay and I will definitely be going back again at some point!
