We were so happy to have this cozy cottage to return to each evening. The view is fantastic, and the small town of Dunvegan is charming. "Great location, portree is very small but the parking area is close to the hotel. It is also very close to the colorful view of the coast buildings. It wasn't a problem for us but keep in mind that there is no lift. Beds where comfortable, staff was very friendly. Clean bathroom, with good pressure shower. "

"I had an excellent stay at the Sligachan Hotel. The hotel is steps away from breathtaking scenery for walking or hiking and a quick bus/car ride to Portree for shopping and dinner. Martin, the manager, was so helpful and kind. He drove my friend and I from Portree to our train because the bus schedule that day was not aligning well with our train schedule and morning activities. He also gave us great tips on the best things to do on the Isle of Skye and made sure that all of the guests were enjoying their stay. The breakfast was high quality - I loved the smoked salmon and eggs and the fresh fruits and yogurts. The receptionists were always friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. I would recommend the Sligachan hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay right near the Cuillian Mountains and a quick commute to Portree."
