Beautiful home with a perfect view. Easy access to the lake. Comes with kayaks, paddle boards, life vests. The game room, the grill, the property-wide Sonos sound system, all rock. In terms of the house, it really everything you need to have a good time. The reason this was more of a 3-4 star experience is, due to a few reasons, we felt we weren't just vacationing at this beautiful home, but also part of the staff. 1. Cleaning instructions for guests is one step more involved on many fronts than we're used to (stripping beds, bagging the towels and linens separately, taking the linen bags to the front of the house, emptying the dishwasher, cleaning all counters). 2. Several light bulbs were out, and though there were replacements available, that's a tough task to fall on guests, especially when you're sharing the room with a sleeping toddler and have only just discovered the bedside lamps don't work. 3. There was no dish soap or cleaning spray. When notified, the host had them delivered within a couple of hours. On one hand, that's great responsiveness! On the other hand, that essentially has guests doing inventory and communicating basic needs to the host.Given the high cost of the stay and cleaning fees, and the 4pm check-in and 10am check-out with no wiggle room, it did leave us with a sour taste. All in all, we'd probably come back if they'd have us, but we'd be prepared to take the bad with the good.
