Vacation, shopping, things to do close by so you are not wasting time

We have stayed at Romar place for 14 years and all the units we stayed at are nice and have a home feeling and it is relaxing

Great property with a gorgeous view of the ocean. really good restaurants with in walking distance and the Walmart is less than a mile. I would definitely book again!

Not good

There was a strong smell of mold in the facility. I have asthma and had issues the whole time. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The AC would not get cool, the fridge barley worked , not all the TVs worked. The location and beach were nice.

Family Vacay 2023

Condo location was great and view of the ocean was even more beautiful than pictured. Beds were extremely comfortable, along with the bedding/comforters too! My rating/issues arise from cleanliness, some broken items within condo, and miscommunication between resort and who manages this particular condo - Beachball Properties. However, once I was able to track down Jay at the front desk at Romar Place he cleared up all of the confusion by going straight to main owner of resort which I believe was also his father. Jay was amazing the entire stay and we appreciated him checking in and following up after the confusion that took place with POSSIBLE early checkin. He even came to our condo to check in that we made it in at 4. Now for the Cleanliness. I sent all of my pictures to the managing property and I think they finally were tired if hearing from me with the fyi of damaged items. But wanted it known these were broken prior to our stay. There was hair all over the condo. Around the toilets, in drawers, floor, and along by the tubs. Once I found the broom I could see why there was hair everywhere. It was so bad! The master tub drained super duper slow (maintenance did come to fix it asap), curtain to a sliding glass door was broken, doors were not easy to slide to balcony, and the towel rod went straight to my feet when I went to hang our towels up after showers. After getting thru the first day, we really did enjoy our stay. However, I will triple check who manages condos.

Beautiful!

The condo looked like the pictures. It is very pretty and has a beautiful view. Very friendly staff. Perfect for a family vacation.

Fun Family Trip

Super easy check in, very clean, well describe on the listing, beautiful views. The people at the property were very nice as well. The outside was well maintained and pool area was very clean. We would for sure stay again. I would bring extra bath towels if you can. It says it in another review so we did and it helped.

Perfect Location

I really enjoyed my stay at this condo. The beach view was fantastic. I will say more towels and wash cloths would have been helpful in the bathrooms and there was only 1 kitchen towel available.

Excellent Property

Nice clean property that faces the Gulf. Easy to check-in and get a parking pass. Will definitely consider staying again.

Great short weekend getaway trip

First impression was not so great. I was given the wrong code. It took over a hour to get different code. After a 8 hour drive, my kids are sitting next to the door eating pizza we ordered and exhausted. Was hoping to have that comp. Besides that, the place was nice, be sure to bring Pam, spices, etc to condo. Restaurants and Walmart was nearby. Folks were friendly, water was clear and no jellyfish.

Rude front desk, door that locks

The front desk person was rude when we checked in. We asked if we could pay for a third parking pass and all she had to say was no, it isn’t alllows but she chose a more fussy way to tell us no. Not a great first impression. Also, the patio sliding door locks on it’s own when you close it. It happened a couple of times and we had to knock to get inside. Otherwise— a great place!

Fun beach vacay

Location and view were great. Plenty of room for 7of us. Only downfall was that it could’ve been cleaned a little better and guest bedroom bed was noisy! Woke me up every time I turned over.

Great family trip

We enjoyed our stay at Romar Place. The condo was clean and attractive. The two pools were convenient and well kept up. The keyless entry made it possible for us to come and go without worrying about a key or card. Overall, a great place to stay.

Very nice property!

We love Orange Beach! This property has a super location with all you need to enjoy a vacation. Two pools were loved by my kids and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach and local restaurants.

Nice Stay

We were glad to get to stay in Orange Beach this summer. We liked the condo, location, and awesome view from the balcony. We were a bit disappointed with the kitchen furnishings-many of the skillets were non-usable due to staining/previous damage and there were only 9 dinner plates. The appliances all worked well, and the AC unit cooled us nicely, so we had a very comfortable stay. We just wish the hot tub was in working order - it wasn’t warm, and even after we reported it, it didn’t get fixed. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great Location

Right on the beach. Pictures were perfect. Beds were comfortable. However, the sofa bed was full of sand, had a dirty, smelly sheet on it, and had a moldy tater tot in it when we went to fold it out. We cleaned the sofa bed up and lifted it completely to sweep under it and there was also mold under the bed itself. We lysoled that too. Kitchen had everything you could need but pans needed to be cleaned better. The balcony views could not be beat. The main bedroom door does have an area that is coming undone and keeps sticking so we had to come out of the balcony door sometimes. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was so convenient- I won’t book another place without one again. One of the laundry doors does need to be repaired though bc it kept coming off the hinge. Other than some minor upkeep issues, we had a wonderful stay!

Orange beach stay

Location and condo was great. However the floors and furniture was nasty. Th e balcony floor had not been cleaned.. there was food and dirt under some of the furniture in the living room.. Cleaning crew needs to a better job.. Other then that great.

Great view and layout

Views were great and the layout is excellent for parents and kids separation/comfort. I wasn’t a big fan of Beachball property rental company. The unit was ready at 3pm and we drive in town after two days of driving with 4 little boys and arrived and the door code wouldn’t work until exactly 4pm. Super annoying and for no necessary reason. The bath towels were typical tiny, thin hotel towels but there were hardly enough for us each to have one and needed to be washed daily so we would have dry towels again. The soap and “starter pack” was literally all single use. No shampoo or dish soap at all. I’ve stayed in many vrbo rentals and never had such sparse supplies. No mention to bring coffee filters and none provided. I left a pack for next guest and am sure it will be taken by cleaning ladies because that seems to be the protocol for this rental company. Overall- we enjoyed this unit and the view was awesome. Just know you need to bring every single thing you might need as they are careful to be sure nothing is left for convenience.
