"This place is amazing. We have been on a 3 Week Rd. trip and we chose to be able to take a few days and stop and just relax. This place was amazing and just listening to the waves and the ability to just relax was such a gift. The sunsets were amazing. Every day is completely different and it is very private. We loved every single minute of staying at this space."

"We were on our annual vacation with sis and brother in law and had the best time in this house! We enjoyed the hot tub with a view, a night fire outside listening to the waves, and then enjoyed local crab and prawns. The fully stocked kitchen made preparing and clean up so easy. Thank you for all of the supplies to make this so nice. From lawn chairs to spices this house has it all."

"Location is very convenient with Seal Rock State Park a 1 minute walk across U.S. 101. Luna Sea restaurant is right out the back door and serves good fresh seafood. Cleanliness of the property was not very good. Cobwebs downstairs, unvacuumed carpet, and long black hairs in the kitchen drawers. New bathrooms and kitchen appliances were nice. Beds were small not queen size as listed."

"Honestly, this was such a perfect little getaway. I wish we had spent more time there and less time running around. The property was clean and well stocked, except there were no extra trash bags--small thing and not a huge deal. I wish there had been a hose available to rinse sand off things, and while there was a hose, it wasn't usable for guests. My only real complaint is that as far as I can see, no where on the online listing does it say that kids under 10 are not allowed in the loft area, but the rules of the cottage say that when you arrive. Most people would plan to put their kids up in the loft in the twin beds, but the house rules say no kids under 10 up there. I would imagine that it is due to the steepness of the ladder (it's quite steep, so it's well justified). I just wish that had been stated in the booking description. I did recheck and was unable to find anything about it. We adjusted our sleeping plans based on this rule. Beyond that, it really was an amazing little cottage and we loved it. Also, no joke about wanting to back in to the driveway. Depending on traffic, sometimes we were able to and other times we weren't, so next time we left we just had someone watch to verify the road was clear to back out. All in all, a great place to stay and experience the ocean. "

"We had several little issues, and one large one with the upstairs shower leaking into the first floor dinning area. Outside door latches didn’t work, hot tub cover lift was broken, etc. But the good outweighed the bad. It’s got very good access to a very long and quiet beach, with lots of fun 20 million year old fossils to find. The view is restricted to just in front of the house because of all the vegetation, but is still nice. The bedrooms are comfortable, but oddly configured. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, including the master bedroom, but it shares the bathroom with the other bedroom. Upstairs is just a loft area, so no privacy as it overlooks the livingroom. It would work well for a family with young children, but for a group of friends or colleagues, it might be a bit awkward. The kitchen is okay. Many of the utensils and appliances are old and some are even rusty. I wouldn’t want cook a lot of meals here, but it’s fine for a few breakfasts and lunches, or most casual meals. The furnace is very loud in the master bedroom. We had to put a suitcase on top of the vent to quiet it down. The house is located conveniently near Newport, so finding meals and shopping is great. It’s also close to the Aquarium. Even with all the little hitches, I still gave it a 4 star rating. It’s got all you really need for a fun beach getaway. It was clean and had easy access to the beach and Newport. Be very careful of the very small driveway leading off of highway 101."
