Everything from the check-in process to the check-out process was wonderful with this property. Extremely clean, wonderful amenities, and owner provided small details such as unique kitchen utensils and plateware, plenty of towels and bedding, and entertainment in the form of games and books. Perfectly situated between Alpine Meadows and Palisades, the only thing needed to enjoy both mountains is a car, although we heard the local free shuttle (Mountaineer) is great. Would recommend stocking up on groceries in Truckee if you are driving in. 60" of snow during our stay did not hurt, but even without the snow, the property, backing up to a beautiful running stream, is amazing. We can't wait to book it for our next trip to Tahoe.

I love how this spot looks like a treehouse! It is also in a very convenient location, with good access to a creek.
Gorgeous home. A beautiful deck with views to die for! A small creek runs behind and sitting outside in the hot tub listening to the creek is the relaxing experience I needed. We were lucky enough to see snow fall and enjoy the majestic scenery! This home feels like a cabin, it doesn’t have a bunch of modern upgrades as some may like. We loved it. They have portable heaters in every room, washer dryer. There are a lot of stairs and twists and turns inside, that may not be right for everyone. The vaulted ceiling and numerous windows help bring the outside in! The kitchen could use more utensils, and a couple cookie sheets as there aren’t any, and pillow cases for the extra pillows in the closet so they can be used. The property management company feel is definitely different from a direct home owner but I will say that they were extremely responsive, beyond expectations, and very kind. I’m writing this from a hotel in Truckee because when we checked out two days ago roads closed and we are stuck! Making the best of it - just wish we were still enjoying that hot tub and views!
