What a delightful place to stay. Large open property with lovely landscaping. The house has all of the amenities you need and the Host is very accessible. Will definitely stay again.
Beautifully restored property. We came to experience the winter in Olympia and were even treated to some snow! We had a great time in Karl was a wonderful host.
This home is in the perfect location to explore Olympia and the cities surrounding it. The home is beautiful as well as the property. We will definitely return and stay here again. I loved the front porch and rocking chairs. Great way to start and end your day.
It was a joy to stay in this gem of a historic farmhouse. Every room is beautifully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. The garden and surrounding areas are quiet. Parking in the roundabout driveway was safe and secure. I look forward to visiting again.
Our family of 6 stayed comfortably at the Farmhouse. Host Karl was very responsive and accommodating. The property is very clean and had all we needed provided. Nicely kept outside. We stayed for a week and visited Mt. Rainier, Olympic and Seattle. Thanks again Karl
That is what our auntie said, when she and her daughter and grandkids stayed for a few days. They wanted to stay longer and spend more time at the Hands On children's museum, and relax in the beautiful and comfortable house we rented for them. The host was great, and readily available for questions.
An old farmhouse updated out of the city noise. We met Karl on arrival. Friendly, responsive and competent, he said the washer was broken and would be replaced in the morning by 8:00. As promised, it was.
Clean and well kept we had everything we wanted in quiet comfort. We will return someday!.
This place was an absolute charm! The yard was beautiful, green with lots of trees. The house was clean and full stocked. Karl was such an amazing host. Check in was easy, checking out was easy. The bedrooms were so nice and relaxing. The sheets were crisp and clean, the pillows were fluffy and thick. Heating and cooling one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The mini kitchen upstairs was convenient for our kids. Smart tvs were a huge plus. Parking was nice and close. Laundry room was perfect. We celebrated an early thanksgiving dinner with our adult children. Kitchen had literally everything we needed (Olympia was our meet up posing) Walmart was close by about 5 minutes away, so if we forgot anything we would just go real quick. We had dinner one night at Thuy's Pho. Pho and pad Thai was delicious. Mall was close by with lots of other shopping options. Also close to a lot of little lakes so my guys went fishing here and there. You can get a day license at Walmart. This is home away from home. Loved it. Will stay here again
The house is wonderful, it's old and there are several older historical things in it. The gardens are stunning and I love the neighborhood. What really makes this property great though is the owner. Carl is super kind and friendly. This is one of the first homes I have stayed in where I didn't feel it was missing anything. I got injured during our trip and he even had a gel ice pack in the freezer. It's a fully stocked kitchen we were easily able to cook and clean up after ourselves. The bathrooms had shampoo conditioner and body wash we were also able to do laundry throughout the trip.
Be aware the doors have original doorknobs and they don't work very well so I wouldn't stay here with people you aren't comfortable if the bathroom door accidentally swings open lol
Also the floorboards are original but there are gaps in them so make sure you all have a pair of slippers. I thought socks would be fine and I ended up getting my toe caught on a crack and got injured. If I had slippers on this wouldn't be a problem.
Overall this is an amazing house that added a historical element to our trip and the house itself was a perfect place to show up and make a home for a while. Just be careful that your kids don't break anything (particularly rowdy kids should stay away) and that you bring slippers to protect your feet.
Should anything happen Carl is very attentive and accommodating which was refreshing. He has done an excellent job of anticipating needs and making us feel welcome.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property and I would highly recommend it to others. The farmhouse was ideal for our needs (layout, amenities, privacy) and we really enjoyed the historic feel of the place. Everything was beautifully restored and the host was pleasant and very helpful. This is an amazing place and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Olympia.
The house is very charming and delightful. It was exactly what we expected from the pictures and descriptions. We met Karl and he was very polite and offered us some apples from his trees in the yard. The house has been remodeled very lovely.
Beautiful home, gorgeous property close to everything you need. Nice yard with fire pit for relaxing. easy access excellent communication. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful house! We stayed here three nights with our three small children. Only wish we could've stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again. The home was very clean and, obviously, well taken care of. Karl was a very hospitable host and made our stay even more enjoyable by providing children's items that were very much appreciated.
Old updated farmhouse was perfect for three couples. House was filled with interesting antiques and location was serene and private. Deer and rabbits in the yard daily.
This house was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The host was so kind and communicative. Helpful and kind. I wish I could move to this house. Out in the county and the landscape was phenomenal. We wish we could give 100 stars!!! Thank you for the most amazing stay.
We all loved staying in this old farmhouse. It’s been updated tastefully and having a second kitchen upstairs really helps when you have some that like to get up early and are eager to get the coffee going!
This is one of the best VRBO accommodations I've ever stayed in. It was thoroughly and beautifully appointed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There are plenty of outlets, which I think is unusual in a vintage home. It looked like everything had been thoroughly and tastefully restored to blend vintage character with modern convenience. Three of us were there for a digital scrapbook workshop over Zoom and it went beautifuuly. Check-in was simple with the code sent to us. And best of all, communication with our host Karl was excellent from pre-booking to check-out.
