"Carmen and Alicia are excellent hosts. They are incredibly welcoming and gave great dining and site seeing recommendations. All their rooms have private baths which are extremely clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the full breakfast was outstanding! We had eggs, cheese and ham, juice, homemade cake and coffee. "This was probably the best value as well the nicest place we stayed on our month long vacation in Spain. This was a beautiful family castle.. totally redone into a hostel. Big space with a free bottle of wine from the families winery. Great little restaurant never for in our own personal Plaka. Loved it. "

"The hotel was in an amazing location, a great restaurant Blanc attached which my daughter and I dined at which was fabulous. A shirt distance from the bustling square where we took evening drinks. The catherdral is a short walk away, which I recommend an early morning strill round the old town, so peaceful with beautiful architecture. Will definately stay here again."

"Had to take an overnight stop before a morning flight from Girona airport, so a hotel closeby was a must. Booked this hotel through Expedia along with my flight, and it couldn't be better. Everything was spotless, the staff were superb, the room was large and well-appointed. Most hotels I stay in have one common 'fault' - a double room with only one chair! This place had 2 chairs, and a table, and another chair behind the desk. I arrived early so had a quick drink at the bar while my room was finished - €3.50 for a large cold beer... yes! The pool was cool and clean, with a pool bar open all day until late, and we also had a gym and sauna, which we were allowed to use free for the first hour. Food was delicious and not too pricy, and although we were only 5 minutes drive from the airport (using the free airport shuttle) there was very little, if any, aircraft noise sat out by the pool. All in all, an absolute bargain at £88 a night, including the marvellous breakfast! Next time I fly to/from Girona I'll be arriving a day early to have another stay. Thoroughly recommended."

"We stayed at the Ampura inn for 5 nights. The hotel was very clean and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was quite large and had a fridge. The only thing missing was a plug for the wash basin but this is quite common in Spain and France. The buffet breakfast was excellent with something for everybody. The pool is also to be recommended "
