"This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. "We had a beautiful experience in this property. This place Is luxurious and has everything you need to be able to do your tours and travels. Nestled between tall mountains, the creek runs through the property, you can hear the river at night and watch the stars. They provide Tumi alpaca blankets so you can sit outside and enjoy the stars. Just beautiful, We stayed for 3 nights in Cabin 17. Comfortable and clean, the complementary breakfast is a la carte and delicious. The bread is made in house and all the vegetables and other foods are grown on-site. The chef is excellent and on-site menu was so complete we didn't have the need to eat out. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We needed to use their free shuttle to the train station, they were waiting for us next day at 6am with a boxed delicious breakfast of pesto sandwiches and home made carrot cake. We had an issue with the water heater and due to our early am schedules with all day tours we couldn't tell them but did mentioned it on the last day. All I can say is they made up for it and were very concerned about or comfort and experience. I can say that this is probably the best hotel and property in the entire area."
