It is a beautiful boutique hotel that I have ever stayed in; a lot of thought went into the design. The Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, particularly Filipa, she is so nice and warm. I enjoyed my time there very much.

Lovely clean room with a bonus of the pretty roof terrace outside. All areas were well themed and appealing. Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Great location for walking out and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice and all fresh. Loved the fresh cake and coffee available all day. Excellent stay

The breakfast was superb,the staff Katia,and jaoj? We're fantastic,the room was small,bigger rooms available,but not during our stay,ice cold Aircon,quite a lot of steps to climb,no lifts,but I highly recommend this stay.

A real gem

The guest house is fantastic – a great location, comfortable and stylish. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were the friendliest and most knowledgable you could ask for. A gem that I look forward to returning to soon.

I stayed here for 1 week on a solo trip away and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The accomodation felt like a home, with a beautiful breakfast spread every morning and the staff also went above and beyond to make the stay more special, whether it was dinner recommendations, day trip ideas or umbrellas and towels for the beach. Honestly can't recommed it enough and would definitely stay here again for my next visit.

Une maison d’hôtes aux petits soins

Magnifique séjour au GuestMar, le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins pour ses clients, très gentil et amical. Le petit déjeuner est fabuleux, la cuisine est à disposition toute la journée avec de bons gâteaux maison. Propreté au top. Bien placé, nous avons toujours réussi à trouver des places de parking dans les rues alentours. C’est une adresse à retenir !

Its staff is very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are very clean. Best if you book a lower level room. Bedding and bed were very comfortable. Sheets smelled really good. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful guest house which has been lovingly restored. The staff are very friendly and gave us some great recommendations. The guest house was, had everything we needed and felt safe. We had a beautiful rooftop terrace which was great to sit in with a glass of wine in the afternoon. The breakfast had a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, breads and cheeses. The location felt safe and is within walking distance of the main harbour with plenty of restaurants and bars. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely return in the future.

It was such a beautiful place to stay, I stayed for three nights and everyday was welcomed by amazing service and great hospitality from the owners. They are very kind and considerate and extremely helpful they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy! I will definitely be returning!

Welcoming and central

We had a great 3 night stay at Guest Mar. The staff were super friendly and helpful - the breakfast was delicious and it was very handy to be able to use the kitchen throughout the day. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Space was a bit tight in our room, but it was workable. We made use of the shared spaces - rooftop, kitchen and reading room. All in all a lovely guesthouse.

Just go there, you won't regret it

I just have to admit, that this place is extraordinary. The staff are more than helpful, even if you arrive very late, after the reception has closed. The room was clean, cozy and nice. Not too much or to little at breakfast. Just as you want it to be. They actually offered to make us breakfast to go since we left very early. I'm staying here next time I go to the Algarve region.

I had a fantastic experience in Guestmar. The place is really cozy and you feel at home. A spacious room with A/C, delicious breakfast, and a terrace to relax and stargaze in the evenings is the perfect setup for a couple but also for a solo trip. Filipa went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and help me in enjoying my stay the fullest. Joao, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. His passion for the house is clear, treating it with the care and attention one would hive to their own child. His warm hospitality made my stay even more memorable. A place strongly recommended!

Our stay at Guest Mar was an absolute delight from start to finish! We can't say enough good things about this place. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable to ensure our stay was perfect, and provide great insights to the area. The room itself was perfect, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail was evident, and the comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the breakfast! Fresh fruit, local cakes, hard boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, fresh meat, and cheeses. All served at the quaint and charming dining area. Amazing! The location was also fantastic, with easy access to the Algarve and stunning views from the rooftop terrace. Overall, we had a memorable stay at Guest Mar, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a top-notch B&B experience with impeccable service, this is the place to stay! Obigada!!

Sorry I’m a bit late writing this review, I stayed at Guest Mar, end of April and had a lovely stay. I did not arrive until very late but there was someone there to meet me, explain all about breakfast and times and to show me to my room. I had a small double as I was traveling on my own, which had everything I needed. The breakfast was lovely and fresh, everything you could ask for, just like everyone has said, everyone was very helpful ( sorry forgot their names) also their are towels there that you can take to the beach with you. I also loved that if I came back early to get changed etc, that there was coffee, tea, cold drinks and cakes to help yourself too, up until 10pm. The rooftop is a great place to have your tea or the other free space where you can sit. Guest Mar is in walking distance to the harbour, shops, train station and much more. This was my first solo trip abroad ( I am 60) and I could not have picked a better place to stay, if I return again to Portugal ( I have a list of other places I would like to try and visit first ) I will definitely stay here again.
