「お湯があまり熱くなかったので、シャワーを浴びている間寒かった。体を拭いた後は、温泉ということもあり、寒くはなかった。 部屋にタオル類とドライヤーがなかったが、ゲストハウスだからないのだろうかと思いつつ、スタッフに聞いてみると、掃除の時に置き忘れていたようで、タオル類は準備してくれた。ドライヤーはなし。 そのほかは、料理もスタッフも、部屋の清潔さも、窓からの眺望も、文句なし。素晴らしい！」

The rooms are exactly what we were looking for: a place to sleep and stash gear while we explored. The restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. Where this hotel excels is the service! 「スナイフェルスネス半島の氷河や海岸線を見渡せる雄大な眺望がすばらしい。"Welcome to Another World"という歓迎文句は嘘ではない。17世紀には交易の中心地だったという地域の歴史を偲ばせるものは残っていないが、周辺の教会や溶岩台地を歩くだけでも楽しい。ここからスナイフェルスネス半島を一周すると約200kmで、観光の拠点としても便利。 ２晩のディナーは私の10日間のアイスランド旅行の最高の食事となった。宿の規模が小さいので食材の種類は限られているが、シェフのアイデアは天才的。Beetrootは他の店でも出しそうなメニューだが、Celeryrootをメインディッシュに仕立てる技は驚嘆するほかない。ベジタリアンでも満足できる味だろう。もちろん肉、魚もExcellent。特にShellfish...
