Historic Home within walking distance of Downtown Harmar & Marietta
10/10 Excellent
"The house was great. It had plenty of seating, and the living room and bedroom furniture was very comfortable. I loved the Victorian style, dark wood, and antique feel. It had a large kitchen and upstairs bathroom (along with the downstairs half bath). Note that no bedrooms are on the ground floor, if that is important to you. It is dog and cat friendly. The house was very clean, but the living room could have been cleaned of cat and dog hair better. Bring a lint roller, but that is minor. For anyone with cat or dog allergies, this is not the house for you, though, even if you travel with air purifiers."
"Host provided excellent instructions and information prior to arrival. Easy to find house. House was very clean and well set up for our family. Everything worked very well. Electronics we easy to use as was everything in the kitchen. Well stocked as advertised. We will return."
"My family and I recently enjoyed a four-night stay at The Historic Buckley House, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Traveling with my parents and husband, we chose this property not only for its charm but also for its proximity to the small town where my father grew up. It served as the perfect setting for a mini family reunion. The home is beautifully maintained, with a spacious back deck that easily accommodated our gathering. There were plenty of tables and seating for everyone, and the kitchen island worked perfectly as a buffet setup. Parking was never an issue, with ample space available both in the driveway and along the street.Inside, the house was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. Each bedroom featured a comfortable bed and a private en suite bathroom, which made our stay especially convenient and enjoyable. The location was ideal—directly across from a picturesque park that added to the peaceful atmosphere.Communication with the owner was excellent. They were friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the booking process and our stay.I would absolutely stay at The Historic Buckley House again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed rental in a charming and historic setting."
