I would easily give this hotel 10 stars in each category--especially staff. But the best feature of this hotel and worth a trip is the onsite small but mighty observatory and the star-loving guide who explains the mysteries of the universe. It is the perfect introduction to the sky for folks of every age.

The best hidden gem! Definitely make reservations for the observatory. Staff was amazing and breakfast was delish!

Beautiful Place

We enjoyed staying at the Compass Rose Lodge. Every room has lovely collectible items and how they use them as part of the interior design. The room is excellent, and the outdoor garden is impressive.

Stayed 2 nights for Huntsville Marathon. The buses depart right outside the hotel. The room was very comfortable. Staff named Patricia was very kind and helpful. Thank you!

What a great place to stay! It is incredibly clean and inviting with a fun modern farmhouse/ski vibe. The hotel is located close to ski resorts and a few restaurants. The owner is very hospitable and welcoming! In addition to the observatory, check out the Ogden Valley planet tour that begins on their property. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful mountain inn

This place is so peaceful and beautiful. We loved it. Everything is brand new and high quality. The staff is super nice. The free breakfast sandwich was great and so was the coffee. Highly recommend.

If is a very nice property very unique and convenient to the ski hill. Not many choices for dinner nearby and they close by 8 pm. I think they should ask if you want meat before assuming everyone wants sausage but otherwise very nice stay.

The Compass Rose Inn is one of the most charming properties we’ve enjoyed. The staff, decor, and layout make you feel like you’re right at home. We stayed at the Inn to be closer to a graduation party, and we’ve decided it’s our new staycation location. I even invited other people to come to the Inn to see and feel its warmth. They are planning on spending time there on their next visit to Utah. This Inn is a must! When you're there, be sure to stop by the cafe to meet Erika and Gabe. They are so lovely and make wonderful drinks.
