The Islander Villas Community is on the west end of the island which has a much wider beach and is less crowded than the upper end. The Islander Villas community has a very nice ocean front pool club with pool, hot tub, kiddie pool, outdoor tiki bar all on the ocean front as well as 4 community tennis courts.
Ocean Isle Beach is a south facing barrier island with 7 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located 12 miles south of the NC/SC border. Ocean Isle Beach is a much quieter and less crowded island than areas like Myrtle Beach, etc. The beach is spectacular and is very wide and clean with a nice gentle slope. The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.

Spacious 1700 square feet with over-size furnished deck with polywood deck furniture featuring counter height table and chairs. Unit all on one level. Beautifully decorated with island flavor. All bedrooms have cable TV and each bedroom has its own full private bath. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you have at home! Also full size washer and dryer. Flat screen TV in living area and all bedrooms. 3 walk in showers and 1 shower/tub combination. Quartz double vanity in master suite. NEW DINING TABLE APRIL '23 WITH 8 seats plus 4 adjacent bar stools. Stainless steel appliances.
Tennis courts and pickle ball courts on site. Nearby rentals for kayaks, jet skis and bicycles, golf carts.

The place was perfect for a family staying right across the street from the beach entrance! The pool and tiki bar are a short easy walk as well! The host stayed in great communication with us throughout the week and was a perfect stay! Would definitely recommend to families with young or older kids and would stay again!

Amazing experience at The Great Escape. Back for our 4th time and this unit and host are top notch. Location is prime, right across drom the beach access and one block from the pool and beach club. The unit itself is immaculate with everything you could possibly need for a great beach vacation. The covered deck with built in drainage was amazing for sitting out and enjoying the rainstorms. The host was friendly, readily available and easy to work with. He communicated clearly and frequently what was needed and made our stay even better. He even helped us find a slightly different style property for our family vacation next summer. Would recommend CottageVacations4u and The Great Escape for anyone looking.

Friends for 54 years

Loved the decor of this condo. Several issues that we noticed when we arrived were taken care of by the owner. Great weather for sitting on the balcony. So thankful that there was an elevator. However, getting to the beach was difficult for those of us who have difficulty walking. The beach access had many steps up and down. Then to get to the water there was a steep sandy decline which prevented several of us from getting to the water.

Perfect Spot!

Such a great condo! Beautifully decorated and spacious. We enjoyed staying here during our daughter's wedding weekend. There was ample room for family members with everyone having their own private areas. Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the porch and it's such an ideal area of OIB. We were within walking distance to the wedding party house next to the Isles Beach club so it's close by the Isles venue but still quiet and peaceful. Everyone on OIB was extremely kind and hospitable. The owner of the property was quick to respond to any inquiries. Highly recommend!

We just had a little getaway with some girls and it was a great location and very nice place. It had everything you needed. It was updated and Clean and very nicely decorated I would definitely recommend running this VRBO.

Beautiful place!

We were very happy with our beach vacation rental at The Great Escape! The unit was decorated nicely and was very comfortable! We loved the big porch area with plenty of seating and beautiful furniture...the table was very convenient to eating outside and the tall chairs were nice to take in the view of the ocean between the houses across the street. Especially convenient was how close we were to the beach access. The area is quiet and lovely. It was well stocked and very clean. We also appreciated the easy access to any questions we had during our stay. Cliff is great to respond quickly and help with any questions or concerns. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Property

Cliff was great at communication and I was actually able to check in early. The property was very clean and nicely arranged. The beach access is right across the street and the property is in a great area of Ocean Isle. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The deck is beautiful and has plenty of seating with a nice roomy table. We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The condo is clean and well furnished. Only a few steps away from the beach access! Cliff was very helpful and easy to contact when we needed, including when a small plumbing issue occurred and he sent out a plumber within the hour. Our one small suggestion would be to replace the king mattresses as they were slightly too thin for comfort. The full mattresses were comfortable. We highly recommend this condo!
