"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"Das Haus ist perfekt für Naturliebhaber und Hundebesitzer. Das Grundstück ist eingezäunt und im Wald gelegen. Man hört zwar die Strasse, dafür gibt es keine Nachbarn oder Passanten direkt am Garten, ist daher zu empfehlen für Leute, die Wert auf Privatsphäre legen. Der Innenraum ist sauber und bietet alles was man braucht (moderner Backofen/Herd, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und Internet). "This holiday house is amazingly well furnished. You expect to see everything you need in the house. State-of-the-art multimedia system along with all required kitchen-related objects. Very very clean kitchen. The living area and the rooms are also very clean and nicely decorated. There are several types of rooms in the building, which are all very nice. There are several master bedrooms too, which are very spacious. Actually we could not ask for more. The neighbourhood is also very nice. There...

"Caren & Michaels place was fantastic, such a lovely house with everything you could possibly need. We stayed for a few days over Christmas and it was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet and calm area close to nature.The hosts were lovely, and were there to support if you needed anything. They even came by and with some Christmas snacks and Gluhwein on Christmas eve, which made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend!"

"Die Betten (Schrankbett) waren mit insgesamt 1,60 m Breite für ein älteres Ehepaar sehr schmal. Der Wasserkran in der Küche an der Spüle war nicht gut angeschraubt und wackelte sehr stark. Eine Tür am Unterschrank der Spüle war defekt und fiel fast raus. Ansonsten lag die Wohnung sehr zentral und hatte einen großen Balkon."

"Unser Aufenthalt war durchweg positiv und gelungen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und der hausgemachte Flammkuchen mundete uns allen sehr. Das Haus ist wunderbar geschnitten, mit einer Galerie, wo die mit den vorhandenen Spielsachen spielen konnten. Außerdem war der Wohn-Essbereich durch den kamin sehr gemütlich und es war schön, dass wir aufgrund der Größe und der Wohneinrichtung alle gemeinsam platz fanden."

"The Black Forrest was a wonderful surprise for us. This hotel was located a few miles from a fun town and they had everything we needed. "

"Unfortunately our prepaid reservation from several months ago was not known the to staff working the reception. Our party had hiked to the this location (all day hike) and was turned away. The hotel did find another available accommodation with a different property in another town and drove our party there - however would have to pay all over again, and none of the amenities important to us. The staff was not friendly and also could not communicate with Expedia. They ended up ensuring some kind of accommodation but this cost our party a lot of time (including additional hiking the next morning), and unnecessary stress. No effort has been made to offer reimbursement. The Expedia team has been very empathetic and tried to help but that didn’t help that this put a dent into an otherwise fun weekend"
