The hostel is in a good location. Easy walk downhill to the ferry. Hostel also has a restaurant close to the ferry. Food there was very good and reasonable. The breakfast was very basic. The hostel needs to replace its towels and sheets.

The view from the balcony was really great. Unfortunately the place is supposed to be maintained by the guests themselves and as a result it's not really maintained. It's not the best idea when the place is shared by multiple guests. The kitchen was really dirty and the bathroom as well. So our stay was a bit disappointing.

A local experience

The photos are accurate and we stayed in the room on the top floor, facing the lake with an amazing view and a spacious terrace. Fair warning to those who are sensitive to noises...there is a pond right below so you can hear the flowing water all night long and might be woken by ducks. The large room was ready with sufficient mattresses but not the right amount of pillows nor duvets. The property owner is helpful, contactable and responsive.

Not so happy....Thought I paid for the whole house

The location was amazing, even though the road to the house is up the hill, on top of a mountain and very narrow. 2 cars cannot pass each other when the road is at 4000 ft elevation. The listing was wrong. Since travelling with family and kids, I wanted the whole house and that's how I reserved it. 3-days before my check-in, I was informed that the house is shared and I will have to share even the bathroom with other people. This was not what I paid for. So basically I paid for the whole house, but I ended up getting a single room and shared kitchen/bathroom. House was clean, undoubtedly. It has a country setup So outside wasn't clean much. Parking was an issue for me. The actual parking where I was told to park, was very narrow for my vehicle (mid-sized SUV) and there were no barriers around it (since it was in the high mountain). I was scared to park there at dark, thinking that if I miss the spot, I will fall straight 5000 ft down. So I decided to park in front of the garage (which I was told not to park).

Esperaba más del lugar … uno de los accesos cortados por obras y no me dijeron nada. Baño compartido para todas las habitaciones - pregunté antes pero tampoco me respondieron - lo mejor de todo es la vista al Lago y una huésped que conocimos súper maja.

Nicht empfehlenswert.

Nach dem wir die Räumlichkeiten gesehen haben sind wir (1 Erw. + 2 Kinder) weg und haben uns eine Alternativübernachtung gesucht. The Outdoor Reatreat- der Eingangsbereich mega dreckig und es stank sehr. Auch wenn es draussen Kühe gibt, muss man eine Location, die man vermietet, einfach sauber halten! Das ist NO GO und die Unterkunft können wir definitiv nicht empfehlen. Wir schließen uns allen Bewertungen an, die was ähnliches berichten. Wie die positiven Bewertungen zustande kommen ist sehr fraglich. Im Wohnzimmer waren ca. 8 (!) Computer vorhanden, was für uns abschreckend wirkte. Das Bad hätten wir mit noch 4 anderen Personen + der Inhaber teilen müssen. 1 Bad/WC für 8 Personen? Handtücher worden angeboten. Nur die Aussicht aus dem Wohnzimmerbalkon war sehr schön. Zahlung nur Paypal oder Bar, was auch ungewöhnlich ist. Uns wurde auch keine Quittung ausgestellt. Unsere Fazit- das Geld ist viel besser in einem Hotel investiert, wo sauber, vertrauenswürdig und angenehm ist. Und Hotels.de müssen bitte ab und an die Angebote überprüfen.

Die Offenheit des Gastgebers ist angenehm bemerkenswert. Das Haus liegt weit weg vom schrecklichen Strassenlärm am See und der Blick über den See und in die Berge birgt magische Kräfte!! Die Einrichtung ist sehr ansprechend und geschmackvoll. Die vielen Benutzeranweisungen verunsichern ein wenig. Man hat unterschwellig das Gefühl, stets etwas falsch machen zu können. Im Ganzen dennoch: Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!

Cannot recommend this accommodation, even though it was refurbished: payment only over Paypal or deposited cash, no credit-card on site, no debit-card, no Twint, not even a bank transfer (landlord not present) Our room: window facing cow stable (smelly, noisy), packed with matrasses bot no memory-foam as stated in the description, very little space on desk, had to replace the bedsheets for the next persons. Shared kitchen: no towels, only four chairs, terrible smell in the fridge (leading us to avoid using it), nice appliances, not very clean. dozens of instructions everywhere – we felt dumb and not very welcome. not worth 160.- for one night

Es ist eine private Wohung; in dieser hat man ein separates Zimmer. Das Badezimmer und die Küche teilt man mit dem Vermieter selbst. Gleich nebenan dem Haus befindet sich ein Bauernhof. Daher ist es für Allergiker, die auf Stroh / Heu allergisch reagieren, nicht so geeignet. Ich habe es selber gespürt und wir sind leider abends schon wieder abgereist. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und auch die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und schön.

Una casa molto accogliente ( non sembra un ostello!) dove tutto è in ordine e in armonia con l'ambiente circostante. Gerhardt è semplicemente meraviglioso, il suo spirito ospitale unito alla lunga esperienza nella ristorazione ha fatto sì che il mio soggiorno (e quello delle persone in casa) sia stato memorabile. Ci ha addirittura preparato la cena gratis, e restando poi a chiacchierare davanti a del buon vino (offerto anche quello). La vista sul lago Ageri è meravigliosa, e dalla terrazza si può godere dell'alba grazie all'ampia visuale. Da provare!!
