「When we realized we would be later than 6pm to check in I was told that the reception would “be quite cross”. Then I got an email saying they want to put their small children to bed…we were only 15 mins late…shameful if you’re running an Inn… also the front patio is covered in dead plants in broken pots. 15 mins work would have it tidied up」

「The loch view was great! We thought we had the room without the private deck and we were placed into suite 1 upon arrival. Sadly it was rainy and a bit chilly to fully enjoy the deck but the view was spectacular. We thought we would hear traffic due to the ferry but we never heard a thing. The room is well sound proof. The breakfast muffins, yogurt and fresh juice and milk was a great touch since there is limited food in the area. When we come through again in the future, we will look here first...

「Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Aussicht von der Bar hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal, das überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit war. Man fühlt sich wie Zuhause.」

「Ok, we admit it. We travelers from the USA are spoiled when it comes to hotel accommodations. While traveling in Europe, we can manage, quaint, tight rooms with tiny baths and showers, but after a couple weeks, you need a break. MacClean House in Ft. William was welcomed relief. Exceptionally clean and newly renovated, we spread out in a large king bedroom with sitting area and a spacious (by local standards) bath with a nice soaking tub. Check in, while a bit ‘digital age’-ish was efficient...
