From the check-in with Roxy at the front desk all the way through to check out, our experience was fantastic! The rocking chairs on the balcony are always a hit with us. But we love the fireplace in the room and of course, the great view.

Grounds are very nice. Room was fine. Hotels.com did not indicate that there is a mandatory parking charge and the front desk did not inform me at check-in. Annoying that charge is in addition to all the other mandatory upcharges.

Nice room and quiet. Not as many businesses open downstairs, but Finca was excellent on the corner and staff at Gravesend were also great to sit and chat with while having a drink. Super easy check-in with info texted to you. No keys or fuss. Room was clean and bed and chairs were comfortable.

The location was great, as it sits between both Cambria and Hearst Castle. The cottage was everything we hoped for with countless deers walking the property.
