The perfect couples retreat, Dog Day Afternoon is situated on the Davis Canal and offers expansive views across the water and marsh land.

Sit on the screened porch and watch the sun fade over the horizon or let the dogs play in the backyard! This home allows up to four dogs per reservation!

This one bedroom, one bathroom coastal retreat offers a cozy living space with plenty of comfy seating and a flat screen TV, perfect for a movie night after a fun day of exploring the island.

The kitchenette is well stocked for simple food preparation, re-heating, and slow cooked meals.

The master suite offers a king bed, a connected private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. You can wake up and look out the window to enjoy the pelicans gliding by over the marsh.

This private unit is a part of a larger house where the owner may occasionally occupy a separate section of the home. Guests can enter the property through the private entryway door on the left side of the property to begin a relaxing stay on Oak Island!

The place is functionally great. Everything clean and comfortable. We appreciated the allowance of our dogs.The location is beautiful and at the end of an out of the way neighborhood. Easy and quiet walking amongst the live oak trees with little to no traffic. The experience could only have been better if the place could be opened to enjoy the smell, sounds, and ocean breeze. The addition of a couch on the large screened porch would be fantastic.

Nice place with potential

We had a nice stay. The unit was quite new and spacious and had comfortable furniture. Decent kitchen resources and nice laundry facilities. It was clean except the bedroom ceiling fan which had cobwebs. We were surprised of the lack of furniture though - no dresser or luggage rack for clothes/suitcases (there was a closet with a few hangers) and the great screened-in porch with a beautiful view of the water only had a couple chairs and a side table. We weren’t expecting to have to make the bed and thought there would be more toilet paper and paper towels provided. We also weren’t expecting to have to wash dishes before checking out as there was no dishwasher. There was a blanket available but it didn’t appear to have been cleaned, the pillows were very soft and seemingly cheap, and the mattress was relatively worn. Overall a nice place that could be great with a few improvements.

very pleasantly surprised

very often we have stayed at places where the pictures don't really match the accommodations. Dog Days exceeded our expectations with this beautiful home, great quiet cul de sac, great marsh views (unbelievably gorgeous) great screened porch. me n my wife n our puppy absolutely loved our 4 day wknd here. Definitely will recommend and return in the future!
