Hurricane Debby!
Unfortunately, we stayed at Beach Birds the same week Hurricane Debby came through. We still managed to get on the beach every day and managed to get a little sunburn on Thursday...the beach is beautiful, not crowded. During rain bands we watched movies, played cards and probably did a little too much day drinking...but, whatever.
The condo itself was perfect for our group, maybe a little small at times, just from having to be inside too much. Well equipped kitchen and great linen service. The patio facing the ocean was great...even in the rain you could still enjoy watching the waves and birds.
One thing I wish this condo had were ceiling fans...it did get a little hot at night without fans in the unit. The cleaning crew showed up an hour early, while we were still packing our car...no biggie really.
We'd love to return during calmer weather, to really experience what that park of Oak Island and Caswell Beach has to offer and would definitely stay here again.
