Traditional Small Resort

Excellent staff and good river view. The pool is clean and the restaurant is delicious. The pool bar being open would make it much better!

The property sits right on the river. The bar and restaurant overlook the river and have a great view of the setting sun. After a long day of sightseeing and adventures, grab a beverage at the bar, relax, and watch the sunset. The restaurant has a nice menu for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet also provided a variety of options. The room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was a bit spotty though. The staff were great! Very accommodating and helpful in recommending places to go and helping us get transportation. Bagan isn’t a big place so bring what you need. ATMs are scattered around.

Sublime stay on the Irrawaddy.

This was our third trip to the area, but our first stay at the Bagan Thande. There are many more choices nowadays in Bagan, finding the right hotel requires a bit of a search. We looked them all over and decided that this one was what we needed. It turned out to be a terrific choice. We were two couples; it was the first trip to SE Asia for our companions. We booked a couple of Garden View rooms for our 5 night stay. The size was perfect. The bathroom was quite large with a tub and separate shower. I can’t comment on the tub, never used it. Plenty of hot water in the shower, though. It also had the other common amenities like a TV, but we rarely turn it on while traveling. Breakfast was served outside under a beautiful Acacia tree. Stations for on demand eggs, fruit, cereal and yogurt, hot food items, and beverages were placed about the area. We always started early and never felt rushed or crowded. We left early each day, so I don’t know if it proved to be busy later. We also had dinner at the Acacia Restaurant each night we were there. Very sweet staff. The four of us usually had something different each night and everyone enjoyed the choices provided on the menu. Also, the stand alone bar that serves the riverside area was a great place to watch the sunset. Lots of interesting boat traffic on the river to keep you entertained as you sipped the beverage of your choice. Summing up; you can pay more to stay in Old Bagan, but you won’t find a better view.

Beau cadre et bien situé pour visiter Bagan

Bel établissement avec quelques chambres en face du fleuve, petit déjeuner type buffet copieux, chambres spacieuses, excentré du centre ville de Nyaung U mais très proche du site de Bagan. La réception organise des transports à la journée pour Bagan ou des transferts vers d'autres villes.

とてもいいホテルでした。 次の日のチェックアウトが早朝5時半だったので朝食の開始前でしたが、それを伝えるとBreakfast Boxを用意して持たせてくれました。中身はバナナやパン、ゆで卵でした。助かりました。 ホテルの敷地内にあるバーのパイナップルフレッシュジュースがおいしかったです。 ただ、夜のバーは蚊にさされるので虫よけ必須だと思いました。

Insgesamt ein schönes Hotel, direkt am Fluss. Bar und Freiluftrestaurant schauen auf dem Fluss. Schöne Anlage. Saubere große Zimmer, gute Dusche. Was uns nicht gefallen hat: unsere Betten waren sehr hart, auch nachdem sie uns einen extra topper auf der Matratze gemacht haben. Da ging es einigermaßen. Und ab 5 Uhr Morgens die Lautstärke der Schiffe die vorbeifuhren. Echt unglaublich. Als wenn irgendeine Maschine direkt im Zimmer stand.

現地のレストランと比較して、食事代が相当高いので注意。味は薄味で日本人好みだが、現地料理のバリエーションがもっとあった方が良い。 　部屋のグレードは中級クラスだが、清潔に維持されている。今回泊まったリバーサイドは眺めが素晴らしく、また静かで過ごしやすかった。逆に、レストランスペースの近くは夜までイベントで騒がしいはず。バーから眺める夕焼けは格別。

蒲甘最漂亮最值得看的几个庙塔 都可以从酒店走路去看，地点是首选的，酒店环境很好，就是游泳池的水太冷 基本用不了，房间设备有点旧，电视也有外国频道，早餐和餐厅都不错，价钱也不是特别贵，值得推荐。

オールドバガンの中の古いホテル。最新の設備は殆どありません。蚊取り線香は必携。ただ、エーヤワディー川の辺りでいただく朝食、夕食は最高でした。とにかくロケーションが素晴らしいです。ずっと座って川を眺めていたい気分になります。次回来る時もこのホテルを選ぶと思います。

Great place, perfect location

Great hotel with a perfect location, right by the river with beatuful sunsets and close to the ancient area of the old stupas and pagodas. The food was good, including the breakfast. Rooms are of good size and wifi worked pretty good. Nice and helpful staff.

Loved the location. Loved the beauty of the hotel grounds. The room comes with a front porch and furniture to sit, relax and to enjoy the view. The pool looked clean, I just didn't have the time to jump in. Breakfast was varied and good. The staff was incredibly helpful and set up a tour guide to take me around and took care of booking my Okay bus to Mandalay.

Some of the staff were excellent and very attentive however one or two were surprisingly surly, unhelpful and frankly disappointing. The rooms are a little dated and could do with a face lift. Breakfast whilst not particularly exciting was fair value. Overall a little disappointing. I would not return here. Thiripyitsaya next door would be a better option.

Booked superior bungalow but was kindly upgraded to Deluxe Garden view on arrival. For enjoyment of this fabulous hotel would 'now' suggest to others this should be minimum room level booking. From room to staff to food (breakfast & dinner OTT) to pool to amenities all excellent. Fantastic cake and rose petal bedspread on my birthday (again unexpected) were lovely touches. Highly recommended

Loved it!

I arrived early and not feeling too well so was delighted when I was given my room key before 09.00! Great location; close to the main temples and on the river. Choose your sunset position! The hotel has loads of history which is in keeping with why someone would want to go to Bagan in the first place and had the added bonus of a pool and a great breakfast. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Very nice hotel. Good environment, the sunset by the lake at the backyard of the hotel is priceless. Easy to travel to the temples in Bagan also. Enjoyed the experience.
