Stayed over Easter. Staff are brilliant, very helpful and attentive and friendly. Menu for breakfast and dinner was lovely and great value for money. The rooms are simply decorated, clean maybe slightly small but appreciate it is a very old building. The bed was very comfortable and room was nice and warm too. Hairdryer may have been useful in the rooms. Soap and shampoo available and TV worked perfectly and good WiFi. Location is brilliant with lovely riverside location and great for using as a base. Would stay again many thanks

Excellent position for access to boatyard; and the service was great. The manager was very accommodating when it came to booking an early breakfast and the food was very good. I’d highly recommend this hotel and would happily use it again

Plenty of parking, lovely friendly staff, beautifully decorated clean room and good shower. Really yummy dinner. Had a really peaceful stay by the river Ant. Would stay again. (Large Tesco not far away if needed).

Didn't spend a lot of time there as arrived late and left around 10am but everything was impeccable, lovely clean room and good breakfast, plus good service on check in and breakfast

On arrival the hallway smelt of mildew. The room and bathroom had the window open. Once closed the room smelt strongly of mildew. There was black. Mould in the bathroom. The room was freezing. Originally we booked for 3 nights. We were out of the room between 7am and 11pm at family's for Christmas. The second night there was no heating in the room it was awful. In the morning we tried the shower. It was either ice cold or it would burn. We gave up then not bothering with the third night. On leaving I aired my grievance with a staff member. She stated she would tell the manager. A pretty poor response. It really was an awful place.

We had the family room 8. Nice room. Beds were very comfy and it was really quiet. Everything clean and well maintained. We had booked bed and breakfast but were told that breakfast now has to be paid for in addition and they wouldn’t honour the booking. Very disappointing. The only other negative was that in the morning there was no heating on and it was freezing. Made having a shower painful!

A good sized room with ample bathroom space. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, good safe outside space to exersize our dog. Staff were very helpful and friendly, despite challenges. Food good and plentiful, friendly atmosphere in the bar. However, central heating was intermittant and despite regular contact from staff, manager wasn't willing or able to turn it on in evening. We were given a fan heater which helped overcome freezing temperatures. Unable to turn off vanity light in the bathroom and shower temperature control didn't work. This accommodation was good value for money and could be excellent with more investment into the infrastucture.

If you don't mind hearing someone weeing from the next guest room, then this hotel is fine. To be honest. We were disappointed from stepping into the property. We were greeted by a young girl who asked me to make payment for our pre-paid stay. I checked my emails and confirmed I had indeed already paid through expedia. She proceeded to ask me to make payment for breakfast, again, this was advertised as included as a "free breakfast". She then tried to tell us that only cereals are included, but miraculously after I resisted to pay due to it being advertised as included, she checked with a colleague and came back to say "they're being pretty chill today so I'll put you down for 8am". Very odd behavior! After that, she once again asked if I'd be happy to make payment for the room, to which I explained that I'd already paid. She said "okay well I guess you aren't going anywhere". Fast forward to 11pm, tucked in bed and we heard our neighbours come back to their room, through the very thin walls, and heard someone weeing in the toilet! Mental! We had an awful night sleep.

Amazing!

Breakfast on the whole was exceptional but maybe the scrambled eggs needed some work, aside from that no complaints and the speed of service was excellent. Awesome location with views outside the property and staff are very outstanding. Hotel is currently being updated which is being done without minimal disruption to the guests. Highly recommended. Just make sure non transport guests please be aware of the local bus service because they are very limited (this has nothing to do with the property).

They hotel was good. Staff were excellent. Food was good, but limited room was nice with a good bed. The bathroom was very out of date. You couldn't use the shower. Needs updating and modernising possibly bath, ripping out and a big shower unit. Putting in very quiet at night.
