En una de la noches del fin de semana me llamó la atención que me desperté porque unos jóvenes estaban haciendo trompos con los carros, fueron 5 minutos, sin embargo me llamó la atención."

"Perfectly clean - very well equipped - amazing coffee machine and warm and comfortable. Even managed to see the Aurora from the bedroom window one evening. The only negative was finding the actual entrance on the first day which is actually on the road behind Tryggvabraut street !! "

"The building was an old school they bought and turned into a hotel. Nicely Done! The lounge/bar is the old auditorium. Big room with plenty of seating and a beautiful old chess board and chairs combo. There is a restuarant serving dinner and drinks. The food was quite good! Waitresses Daria & Daniella were very kind and friendly. Morning breakfast buffet was also good. Nice selection. Met the owners Asgeir & his wife after dinner one evening, very pleasant couple, good conversations. The rooms were good, work desk & chair, seating area. My bed wasn't the most comfortable, for me, very soft mattress but pillows were good. Shower very good. No refrigerator in the room but they did offer to store my food in the kitchen fridge. It was cold enough outside to hang food out the window or leave in the car. 2 Large Outdoor Hot Tubs. Stayed here for 2 nights and got to see the area. I would absolutely stay here again. "Great Location on the south part of lake Myvatn. Not far from local stop for market, fuel, fish & chips approx. 20 mins. There is a restaurant on site and they brew there own beer. Food was good and the beer was too. (Be sure to try the Geyser Bread) Bar with seating area, pool table, darts, couches. Gift shop next door with bakery, coffee shop, hot soup,(try the lamb soup). Also a gas pump out front. Staff was great! Janna at front desk was a charm! She wore many hats helping out around the place. Bartenders Lucky & Bob made good drinks and had lots of good knowledge of the area to share. The breakfast was excellent! Probably one of the best I had though out my stay in Iceland. The morning girl whose name I can not remember was very friendly and a hard worker! I met 2 of the chefs who were good to speak with. Rooms were comfortable, desk & chair, comfortable bed & pillows. No refrigerator, but Janna did offer to store stuff in the kitchen fridge if needed. It was cold enough to leave food out in the vehicle. Shower was good but the tub was very high. I understand it is a soaking tub but if you are older or have disability I would recommend asking for a handicap bathroom. 2 outdoor hot tubs and a sauna. There is a lake, and a volcanic area/walking park right across the street. Note: I understand the area is brutal with Midges when it warms up. I was lucky enough to not have to deal with that. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a good stay ~ ROD N.Y."
