A group of us scuba divers were here for the weekend. Close to Tobermory and it had everything we needed. The views are amazing and communications with the owners was very prompt.
An excellent stay.

The place is quite nice, a comfortable house with minor, unimportant details, but there are many spiders around the property. There's no shortage of dirty people throwing trash from their cars on the road. Otherwise, it's a good place to spend some quality time and have fun with the family.
Nice rental overall. Right on the Lake Huron shoreline. More than enough Adirondack chairs to sit down right by the water. Well appointed: coffee maker, microwave, full complement of silverware, tableware, etc. Three comfortable bedrooms. Not the cleanest rental out there, but not bad, and the bathroom is kind of cramped. The big quirk is that you need to bring your own towels and linens (I used a sleeping bag).
We used the cottage has a home base to explore all that Tobermory had to offer. It’s a great location to all the main attractions of the area( 15mins into town) Communication with the owner was always quick and we didn’t have any issues during our rental. Loved the advice of water shoes as it is all rock into the water. It’s a beautiful area and the cottage gives you a very private piece of the beauty to enjoy. We loved that the property is all trees so you never really see anyone else from neighboring cottages unless you are out on the water.
, great for our family. Super close to everything in town (15 mins) and 30 mins from Lion's head. Absolutely recommend staying here.

The cottage was perfect. We got to enjoy the beach directly on the property (though rocky...was very beautiful). It was close enough to the town ans attractions we wanted to do. We really enjoyed our stay, would recommend it :)
It was great spot everyone had a great time. The water with the sunset is beautiful and the cottage was welcoming close to everything and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend staying in that area if you like singing sands beach.
We recently enjoyed a lovely weekend getaway with family and friends. The cottage itself was absolutely beautiful, and we were so impressed. The interior was very well-maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable. It was fantastic to have the beach right outside the door. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage—the location is fantastic and the property itself has so much charm. It definitely has the true cottage feel, meaning not everything is “perfect,” but that’s part of its character. For example, we noticed some cobwebs, the lighting could be better, and there was a bit of clutter around the back. None of this took away from our experience, and it felt in line with the price point and what you’d expect from a genuine cottage stay. If you’re looking for an authentic getaway in a beautiful spot and aren’t expecting everything to be magazine-perfect, this is a wonderful choice.
Not quite as advertized. Not walking distance to singing sands. No play ground, no washer dryer. No direct access to downstairs, had to go outside to go to downstairs entrance.Otherwise, nice location, nice property.
Great location!! The view cannot be beat. Rocks were fine with water shoes (entertaining for fossils and creyfish) and navigating across them kept us "nimble" on our toes. Enjoyed kayaking up and down the shoreline. Such a great location to be a home base for sights: (Grotto, downtown, singing sands beach) and nice privacy of trees to relax and sit fireside. Rustic main living area - so-so on deep-clean / cleanliness. But nothing that a true-blooded cottager/ camper can't acclimate to and get into the rhythmn with. We saw local wildlife - a blue heron walking the grounds, birds, ducks swimming, sea gulls, and chipmunks. There are also fossils galore...... if youre into that kind of thing - this is the beach! Steps from your deck, you can find them - turning over rocks and into the bedrock. Overall - unforgettable stay.

Beautiful location but it was much smaller than the photos. The AC wasn't AC but a unit that pumped hot air into the children's room and only cooled the dining/ sitting area. The tube at the back of it kept falling out and It was incredibly loud so the kids could not sleep at all. The bedrooms were hot. The water said safe to drink but didn't taste very good, the bath water came out a very dark yellow/ brown. My son accidentally turned the jets on in the bath and brown jelly like scum came shooting out and filled the bath. The dishwasher is also not working. We had to re clean a lot but also paid a cleaning charge. The host was nice and very responsive I'm not sure they were aware of the issues in the house. The basement was a great addition.
