The hosts were accommodating and helped us when we needed blankets & space heater since the weather turned on us. The cottage was clean and comfortable.

Overall, me, my wife and our little Isabella had a great stay. The check in was super smooth, Joe sent our check in instructions quickly and promptly. The property was perfect for us. It was a short walk to the public beach access, but far enough away from the strip to be polluted with crazy folks and noise. The street was very quiet. One of the nights, me and wife had been burnt up from the sun. We sat and watched movies until 3am in the living room. Felt just like home. Lots of shops and restaurants within a 5 mile radius. A lot in walking distance. We are fairly local but staying as long as we did was a first time for us. The Mint Mermaid and the hosts just made it such a wonderful and chill visit. We would love to stay again in the future.

Great location and perfect size for the 2 of us and our fur baby! So close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood that is great for morning/evening strolls or jogs! The owners are very helpful and we would definitely choose to stay here again!

Quaint, clean, and quiet

If you're looking for a nice, pet-friendly little place for 2 adults that's tucked away from the throngs of vacationers this Summer, then this is the place for you. The cottage was well kept and we had no major issues while staying there. The best thing about this property is the location. Although it's not oceanfront, it's very close to the ocean and walking to the beach takes no time at all. It's so close you can hear the waves even when just sitting on the porch. We stayed Monday through Friday and couldn't have been happier. Joe was fantastic and made sure we were well taken care of. I definitely recommend the Mint Mermaid for a laid back, peaceful stay in NMB

Roadtrip 2025

Checkin was so easy. Place was clean.Property was convenient to beach and super close to route 17 activities. Communication was great from host. Had a small issue 2nd day and Joe and Lisa both showed up to take care of the small issue. Quiet neighborhood, great for relaxing outside in evening. Thanks for a great stay.

Great little place! Fantastic location (for us)

We really enjoyed our stay. We wanted to take a few days away to celebrate our anniversary. The area was fantastic! Every time we left to go to another area we just wanted to turn around and go back. It was 2 blocks from the beach and the beach was really awesome here. Not too busy this time of year so I was able to long line our dog with 30 feet of leash and let him roam “free” without interrupting anyone. As for the house, it’s on a residential street and it was very quiet. It’s 2 blocks from the beach. We went down like 3 or 4 times a day. The house itself is made of cinderblock so it was cool and very quiet inside. We had everything we wanted, and the owners were around a couple of times. The keurig didn’t work on the first morning and I messaged and they literally dropped off a coffee pot in like a half hour. They were friendly and responsive. Our dogs loved it and since the house was block, when we went to dinner if our little anxious noisemaker didn’t disturb the neighbors. Like a lot of others said, we loved sitting out front. I just tied the dogs to a tree and they laid there watching people walk by. All in all it was a great long weekend. We’d love to come back. It really made it nice that we were able to bring our dogs. Our Border Collie loved the ocean! There was also a hose out back to spray the sand and salt off of him when we got back. A hosts and stay in North Myrtle. It was a great way to spend a relaxing 10th anniversary weekend.

Escape from the snow

Stayed the month of March to get away from the snow. Couldn’t have had a better location. Walk to the beach in 2 minutes. It was great they have beach chairs here and we didn’t have to bring them.Also love that so many restaurants and shopping are close by. Loved full kitchen and laundry on site. Cottage is exactly as described.

Cozy Cottage (Mint) close to beach

We loved this cottage, perfect size for 2 adults and a dog. Cottage has 2 bedrooms, both with smart TV’s. A well appointed kitchen with full size appliances, perfect for cooking any meals. We spent a lot of time sitting on the front porch, listening to the ocean waves breaking and enjoying the refreshing breeze. Took advantage of the fire pit in the evenings. So close to the beach you can see the ocean from the yard and be on the beach in a short 2 or 3 minute walk! Location close to many great restaurants & Barefoot Landing. Will definitely be back!

Great location and host

This was perfect for our family of three. The location is great (2 minutes and you are on the beach). For couples or single child families who just want a clean place to crash, this is perfect. Lisa was very helpful with logistics. Thank you!

Wonderful rental!

Perfect rental for us 2 & our senior dog. Very clean throughout & comfortable beds! Loved the shade trees also! Very dog friendly neighborhood & close to the beach. We would definitely stay here again & recommend to any small group. Excellent communication with owners & they had great tips for the area! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great Location!

It was a great location. Quiet from the busy traffic, but close to the beach. We visited this location after Labor day weekend. So most the the normal crowds were gone. But still busy at the beach. All the local restaurants we visited was great. From the seafood to Mexican. We enjoyed this trip. We will go back to this location. Just the right size for a couple. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to stay at the cottage.

Cozy home

We enjoyed our time to just chill at the beach. Simple home with a short walk with our puppy to the beach and nice porch for relaxing. It was a great little getaway with easy access to explore the Boardwalk and Duplin Winery too!

Great property, amazing stay!

This was the perfect location and property. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. The neighbors and neighborhood was awesome! We enjoyed the beach as it was very close and exceeded our expectations. The owners were great and the communication was fantastic. We are looking forward to coming back again.
