「Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. 」

「Beautifully renovated cottage with comfortable bed and modern washroom. Conveniently located for exploring Guisborough and helpful guidebook with suggestions for the kids and adults. The grocery store is a 5-minute block away also. Andy was very helpful and easy to communicate with.」

「Prior to check-in, Sarah was very responsive. The cottage itself was immaculate and so cute. It was a great location for us to stay. Upon checkout, Sarah answered all of our questions nearly immediately regarding what to do with the linens and rubbish. Hoping to stay here again, if our travels bring us in this direction.」

「On arrival, getting the keys was a simple process, however, as soon as we got in, we could see the setup was unusual. Yes there are 3 "bedroom", or at least 3 separate areas with beds. However, one of them is a living / dining / kitchenette area, with a double bed in there as well. There wasn't any running hot water, even after asking the host, who said "you need to run the tap really slow", which we did for over 20 minutes - still cold. There was a modicum of heat in the water the next...

「Lovely cosy cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.We loved the wildlife and the spectacular views. So peaceful and a very short drive to Barnard castle. If I'm to be picky I would say a heater would be a good idea in the conservatory for colder months. The cottage itself was really warm. I can honestly say there is nothing to complain about. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you.」
