"Hotel was in great location. Windmill food Court was great! There was a lot of construction going on, rooms were nicely updated. We had staff issues. We were promised, after first night, that we could have ajoining rooms. But when we checked on change, I was still in old room and the room promised was given to someone else. I moved to closer room but unable to have ajoining room as was promised by 2 staff members. We had a 4 year old and the convience of adjoing rooms would have greatly improved our stay!"

"The room was outdated and the cabinetry needed to be fixed. The breakfast was the same throughout the whole week and the Kitchen Lady was very rude and did not seem happy to be there working every morning. "

"Great location for Del Mar, close to the beaches, shopping and restaurants. Staff was nice, rooms were clean and safe. Rear parking lot could use some work. The lighting at night was bad, with several lights not working, and trash everywhere. "

"Laundry facilities out of order due to the card insert mechanisms on washers & dryers being removed by vandals. I even told the manager I had laundry to do and he didn’t say a word about them being broken! "

"The room we stayed at smelled like dirty feet but they let us check in early so we didnt ask to get switched to another room ( we were going to be out and about most of our stay so we just stayed in that room.) The air conditioning doesnt seem to work well. I dropped it to lowest setting (60 something degrees) and room still felt stuffy and a little warm at time but again we were mostly there to sleep. Last night when we arrived, no parking. We had to park in a parking garage about a 10 min walk on 3rd floor. There is definitely not enough parking in front or side of hotel and the off site parking was a good walk away. The biggest and most concerning problem was the bed bugs and the way the situation was approached. Housekeeping came and took bugs (2) in a cup and left. Upon checking out my parking of $28 a day was waived. I feel the whole stay should be refunded. This is disgusting. The bed bugs was crawling on my daughters chest. "

"Hotel was nice, staff were great but the cleaning was terrible. Dirty mattress pad that clearly had not been washed, hand prints all over the glass bathroom door, old candy wrappers under the couch. This hotel Is affordable but not affordable enough to sacrifice the cleanliness of the rooms. "
