If you are looking for a modern and convenient accomodation this is not for you, BUT if you are looking for unique place to stay on the country side this is the place. "We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort.The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. Breakfast had plenty of options for both Japanese and Western style meals. The lounge area provided all the drinks and snacks and cup noodles we wanted, and we had a very nice walk around, and up into a snowy area by the river. It was nice to relax in our own private onsen tubs whenever we liked. The surrounding town is pretty quiet, and we didn’t have much time to explore it, but the river and woods are very beautiful. "
"A true gem, easily one of the most memorable and charming places I have ever stayed in. The staff were all so warm and hospitable. We had a toddler with us and everyone was so sweet and genuinely kind to us, a group of foreign visitors.
Every part of the hotel was furnished with charm and personality, with care given to even the smallest details such as the daily floral arrangements and warm matcha and snacks upon our return. The rooms and onsen were all extremely clean and well maintained. Breakfast and dinner in the beautiful partitioned dining areas were exceptional! Each meal showcased the best that the season and surroundings had to offer.
