"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. There were two fully equipped kitchens, one inside and one outside. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for large group of people. "This property gave us and a fellow family lots of space to enjoy the Sicilian sun. The pool was great as was the view towards the surrounding hills and the sea. It was nice to experience a somewhat cooler climate than down the sea. On the downside, it took us half an hour to drive up and down the hill to get fresh bread in the morning. The property is somewhat run-down with the odd gadget not working. The owner tried to fix everything though. This is not a luxury property but I would recommend...

"Pros: From the moment we arrived down an unmarked road, through the electric gates and up the dirt track driveway surrounded by oak trees, we knew this place was special.
