We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 8 to 10 years. While it remains a very nice property with polite, helpful staff, we have noticed a gradual decline in certain areas. The evening meals are now very expensive—for instance, a double espresso made from the exact same machine used at breakfast costs £9.90 (September 2026 price). Furthermore, the breakfast quality has slowly but steadily deteriorated compared to six or seven years ago. While we will likely return because of the excellent staff, we are now actively looking into alternative hotels for our future trips.

Great hotel. Rooms were large and well equipped. The shower was pretty poor and the hot breakfast could have been better. However, I would definitely come back again and would recommend.

I always like the stay in the old house, great authentic rooms with great views, once again, fantastic. The staff are always happy to help plus the electric charging (when a petrol car isn’t blocking it) is a desirable attribute to a long journey.

BEST SPA STAY I HAVE STAYED AT! I have worked all round the country and this has been by far the best hotel/ spa i have stayed, beautiful grounds, lovely spa facilities, polite smiley welcoming staff! Room cleaned everyday. Didnt eat thier so carnt comment on food but so many takeaways to order from.

The staff at this lovely hotel were lovely and friendly. The room was spacious, Clean and modern and loved it. The swimming pool and amenities were fantastic as well. We ate at the bar which was tasty and enjoyed the bar area for some beverages. We also visited Beamish which was local to this hotel.

Staff was lovely on the reception and around the hotel.hotel itself and our room was nice and clean. The pool area windows was quite dirty but the pool was getting a little refurb too we was there so I guess might’ve been due to that.I’m glad it stayed open while getting refurbed so it was no problem to me. All in all a lovely place to stay and I would come back again.

Lovely building and outdoor spaces, overall great stay, the only disappointment was no AC on a very hot day and the plug on the kettle wasn't long enough to reach the socket so I had to boil the kettle on the floor!

Good location, access to pool appreciated. Dodgy, I'll fitting toilet seat in bathroom made a noise when in use which resulted in disturbed sleep. Good quality food at breakfast, unfortunately hardly warm!

It was a very good stay, with a real sense of luxury throughout, including the restaurant. The team looked after me well, and I made use of the gym, which was impressive for a hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and tidy, however when we stayed last year we had bottles of water in our room but this was not the case this time, I brought my own last year but didn't this year as I thought that bottles of water would be in our room. I also requested an extra pillow as the 2 pillows I had were flat, reception made a note of this but the pillow never arrived. Staff were all very welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of breakfast choices available. the staff were also very lovely. We enjoyed the spa it was busy at times and found the morning was less busy. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. There were games to play on the lawn which we took advantage of especially mini golf. We had a good time and enjoyed our stay at Redworth Hall Hotel.

We had a lovely family stay for an early birthday present for my husband. We booked breakfast and added on the 2 course dinner. I booked my husband a massage and we used the swimming pool. Staff were friendly from reception to the restaurant. Great facilities we would book again. Highly recommend
