Somewhere to put your head down … clean, warm, cheap. Breakfast was available at the Beefeaters across the road (completely unrelated business) … went to Greggs.

Nice place to stay, nice welcome. Easy free parking and simple out of hours entry exit for your room. Unfortunately a couple of negatives were the green illuminated exit/safety lamp in your room, never experienced this before in any hotel. Also a member of staff told me that a previous person staying in my room (no7) had an issue with opening the door to the room. There's no issues with the opening it's locking the door behind you. No way would it lock, tried calling the hotel while I was out, no answer. Probably an easy fix but out of pub hours no one answers the phone. Otherwise a pleasant place to stay.

It's not brand new, but the attraction is not in that (go stay at a 5 star corporate hotel if that's what you're looking for). The charm was in being a local country tavern set enough off the highway that it was dead silent at night. Maybe the hallway carpet could do with a steam clean, but the rooms (same carpet) felt clean and cared for. Everything was painted the best they could, and there was lots of quirky notes and pictures in the restaurant/bar to show someone there cared and had a sense of humour. Wildly cheap food and drinks (half of what we paid the night before in Leeds). Support local business, get off your High Horse, and experience the community spirit.

Small pub with rooms above, worth going to.

Staff are helpful and accommodating. My wife's gluten-free diet means it is sometimes awkward to get meals in some places. They sorted it out for us.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! UNLESS U WANT TO PAY TO BE (TRYING) TO SLEEP ABOVE A TEENAGERS DISCO!! We were told bar closes at 11pm.......the music went on & on , people knocking on other room doors , music would get loud, then low.......then to top our trip, a fight broke out in the bar downstairs, a man knocking on room doors to get the police called, this
