Lapwing Cottage provided a calm, quiet, cosy, safe and very comfortable stay whilst working away from home for a week. The host Louise was incredibly helpful throughout all our contact together and the generous welcome of fresh eggs, milk and homemade Victoria sponge made for a very thoughtful and kind treat at the end of a long journey. And, wow, can that woman bake!
On arrival we were made very welcome by Angus and Louise. The cake was delicious and the cottage very comfortable. We had forgotten how lovely the country side is Just outside Gateshead
