Spacious block of land with many garden areas. Quiet, peaceful, birdlife and host easy to talk to . No traffic noise. Was delightful two night stay.

Enchanting and unique property surrounded by beautiful gardens. John greeted us and assisted my elderly mother (wheeler) and with our bags then showed us the rooms etc. We were worried about being cold in the middle of winter but were kept comfortably warm with the a/c in bedrooms and electric blankets etc. This is a lovely place every travellers need has been provided for and we would love stay at again when visiting Newcastle.

Fantastic place. Everything was as you could hope for. Owner was helpful and gave good advice. Accommodation was spacious extremely well equipped. Pool was decent size and clean. Extensive interesting gardens which were peaceful. So relaxing. Wish we had more time to stay longer. An absolute delight to stay there and would recommend to anyone. Laundry facilities (free) were great. Various food etc available for our use. Warner Bay is a delight and provides wonderful sunsets. Thanks John and Elizabeth.

Very peaceful and serene setting. Beds comfortable and warm. Very clean and well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen to cook in. John and Elizabeth lovely and very accommodating. Can’t recommend this beautiful place high enough.

What a wonderful property. We were welcomed by the owner, very nice people. The property has a wonderful and welcoming feel. It's tucked away in the bush and very quiet, but so close to everything. We absolutely loved it.

What a haven! John and Elizabeth’s home is truly one of a kind. They have created a little oasis for themselves and the guests that are lucky enough to stay on their property. The property is cosy and comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay! We loved how eco conscious everything was and would absolutely recommend staying to anybody!

Would highly recommend this property to anyone with children I stayed with my 4 and 5 yr old and It was perfect. The home was very welcoming and cozy, the pool was very close and they have a gorgeous little dog which the boys loved getting to play with. There was also so many little touch's that made staying there feel special like brownie treats on the table on arrival fresh milk, eggs ect in the fridge and so much more. Can't wait to go back again for another stay!

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location

Gorgeous cottage surrounded by a stunning landscaped garden. It felt like we were deep in the forest. It was so peaceful and pretty all around. Inside the house was immaculate and very cosy. Everything you need and more! When we arrived John was there to greet us and show us around. John was very friendly and helpful. There was even fresh milk in the fridge and little cupcakes for a sweet welcome :-) We will definitely be back!

The location is very convenient to the shops and the lake. It is hidden from the main road and is very private. We loved being surrounded by nature. Great place for a family with young kids. We had an amazing time at this accommodation. Thank you Elizabeth and John, you both are fantastic hosts!

Best find, you can’t go past this

I would highly recommend this property to anyone travelling to the region. Prior to our arrival we had clear communication from John with details for our arrival as we would be coming in late. The property has everything you need and more. I enjoyed having our own space, yes it is joined onto the back of the house connected by a door, but we heard nothing and had our own entry. The property was very spacious and had everything. A full kitchen with condiments, cereals and fresh milk. The lounge was full of books, videos and movies. So much to do, with so little time. Lounge was very comfy to sit back and watch TV. The bedrooms were spacious with their own fan/heating and electric blankets. The bathroom was huge with spa bathtub. Wished I had time to use it. Their was also a laundry and an outside patio area with table/chairs. The property is located on 2 acres with beautiful gardens and a pool you could use when warm. I found this accommodation so peaceful and with everything there, we really didn’t need to go anywhere. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Great value and thank you John.

Relaxing and quiet with fantastic amenities - perfect for a family of 4 or a couple. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy the pool, large grounds to explore and cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen or outdoor BBQ. Beautiful big bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Close to shopping, dining out and Lake MacQuarie.
