"We booked this hotel for 3 nights. The location is beautiful but quite remote. No shops so a car is needed. A lovely bar/restaurant with helpful staff, an amazing menu. Harry at reception is so helpful . If going for a cruise or into Windermere there is a card for 20% off-available from reception. ..."

"The hotel is in a beautiful spot famous for red squirrels. It was once a spa hotel therefore has a grand and historic reception area. The staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean as was the room however our room needed some minor repairs to the decor etc. ..."
