「The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were staying to do the MacMillan Mighty Hike in Bakewell which meant leaving before breakfast, the staff made us sausage sandwiches to take with us so we’d have food before starting our hike. The atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant with locals enjoying the bar and outdoor area along with guests. 「Overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting Chatsworth house the next day, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty standard, spacious, comfy bed. On site parking was decent The only things I can say negatively was the shower wasn't great, the toilet had a really weak flush. The floor was very creeky, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from the room above in the morning.」

「Beautiful classic Georgian country Pub. Big comfortable room with a huge bathroom. The bed was also big and comfortable. We didn’t eat at the pub so cannot comment on that, but the village has several nice places to eat.」
