New Bern is a hidden gem! Incredible history, architecture, gardens, shopping, dining, etc. Try Persimmon's restaurant on the water. The brand new staff at Tryon Riverfront weren't helpful at problem solving room issues. Food fantastic (especially gluten free sweet potato pancakes) but expect to wait awhile.

This hotel is very, very nice. Clean, comfortable, modern and just a short 10 minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. Additionally, the staff (in particular Medina, Sydney and Jake) were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Absolutely wonderful experience. Looking forward to a return in the very near future.

Housekeeping didn't come till the room till 4:30-5:00 . Not a great time as we would be getting ready to go out for dinner. The restaurant has decent food, but it took me an hour to get avocado toast when there were only 3 tables in the whole place. Would stay again but would get an upper room that gets cleaned earlier and find another restaurant.

We paid extra for breakfast to be included. Enjoyed a wonderful à la carte breakfast everyday. Fresh fruit and an assortment of proteins. Just wish they had some greens on the menu. Staff was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our four night stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. For the first time we took our 8 month old puppy. Zero dog-smell in the room. The surrounding area is beautiful with boats and plenty of sidewalks. Close to park where two rivers meet. Downtown has nice shops, friendly people, and beautiful buildings. The history of New Bern is interesting as well.

The staff was exceptional. All three of the representatives at the front desk were knowledgeable about the room ammemnities. They were also enthusiastic about their work and displayeda pleasant demeanor over our 3 day stay. Restaurants were in walking distance and shops are within 1 block of the hotel. We stayed on the riverfront.and tne view is breathtaking. The only thing that may need changing is the pool is next door at the Doubletree Hilton. The hotels are sister hotels so we were able to walk over to the pool Parking is very convenient for the hotel,. There is not a charge for parking. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The television does need more stations. Overall, this is am excellent hotels for.an adult relaxing getaway.

The only reason I didn’t give this hotel a 5 star review was because the television in my room wasn’t connecting, and since maintenance wasn’t available, I had to move to a smaller, queen room (my original room was larger and a king). It wasn’t huge but inconvenient. The elevators were also extremely slow for a smaller hotel. However, the hotel was beautiful and the location was excellent. The room had small touches that were great such as ceiling fans, reading lamps, and a little ledge on both sides of the bed (side of bed furthest from the nightstand) to place small items such as a cup or glasses. The hotel overlooked the marina which had a beautiful view and you could walk to many restaurants in the downtown area. I was in town for the Neuse River Bridge Run which is why I chose those hotel. The start and stop were only a couple minutes from the hotel by foot. Parking was also plentiful and easy to find. If I stay in New Bern again, I’ll definitely return to this hotel.
