Escape to the mountains and cozy up at this incredibly central cabin at Wintergreen Resort (a short walk to ski slopes). Enjoy coffee on the porch with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, skiiing & hiking by day or any of the other year round activities, and cozy up by the indoor fireplace at night. Rest easy in our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cabin and newly renovated kitchen. Take in the views at Ravens Roost Overlook, golf at Devils Knob Golf Club, or visit the nearby breweries & wineries!

Great location for skiing with very convenient access. The unit itself isn’t updated, and we ran into a few maintenance issues during our stay. We reported them and received an apology and a small refund. Communication was decent, but the unit could benefit from better maintenance, removing non-working items, and adding a few basic essentials (e.g., a cutting board and extra blankets).

Property needs serious updating in so many areas: beds, linens, carpet cleaning, dishes, kitchen amenities are lacking such as a cutting board and colander…. But the WORST is that the WiFi equipment is so outdated making it impossible to even watch a simple streamed program on TV without needing to reboot router hourly. We missed MAJOR moments of an intense NFL playoffs game because of the inopportune timing of the WiFi outages!
Hourly WiFi outage requiring router reboot.
We didn’t use fireplace but upon checking there were ashes around hearth.

Wintergreen Resort was very nice. The hikes were great and the views were amazing. I enjoyed the time with my fiancée. However, The Slope Side Suite was a little undesirable. It needs some updating to say the least. The kitchen was lacking in amenities. There wasn’t even a cutting board. The toaster didn’t work, the toaster oven barely worked. The vacuum was ridiculous, I had to fix the hose on it. The rug in the bedroom was disgustingly stained. When we stripped the sheets off the bed as the directions asked us to, there were grotesque stains on the bed cover and pillows. For the kind of money we spent for a couple days I would find a different place next time.

The main downer was there was no information on how many steps down to get to unit. Terrible lighting inside and out. Broken transition piece on floor between living and kitchen was dangerous. Host never communicated until two days before when I finally called asking for information. Very old scratched Teflon cookware. Unit needed updating.

Great getaway at Wintergreen

This was our family ski trip where our grandson and granddaughter had their first skiing lessons and experience. Your condo was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely rebook if we come back to Wintergreen. Plenty of hotwater, comfortable beds and the fireplace made it absolutely perfect! Thank you for having us and providing such a cozy place to be!
