Looking for a peaceful retreat for a family getaway or golf outing? Welcome to Peaceful Pines on Petenwell, a beautifully appointed 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom home perched on the bluff overlooking Petenwell Lake in Central WI. Surrounded by trees, this cabin-style house feels like you are in the Northern woods without the drive. The house offers privacy and tranquility with easy access to fishing, boating and swimming, hiking/ATV/UTV trails, fat-tire biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing for year-round activities. There are five golf courses within 15 minutes of the property.

The Property:
This spacious home feels like your own personal tree house in the woods surrounded by pines overlooking Petenwell Lake. While the property does not walk out to the water, you can access a shared pier to enjoy the sandy-bottom lake – it’s a short walk from the deck (lake access requires use of stairs).

The Great Outdoors:
Step outside onto the massive deck that spans the entire front of the house—perfect for relaxing with a morning coffee and watching for deer or eagles soaring overhead. The deck also features a gas grill and two sets of outdoor dining tables. After dinner, gather around the fire table for cozy evenings under the stars, or make your way to the separate fire pit for s'mores and laughter.

Entertainment and Relaxation:
On rainy days or evenings spent indoors, the walk-out basement offers endless entertainment options for the whole family. Enjoy friendly competition with ping-pong, Boss Toss, darts, poker, or cribbage. For movie nights or the big game, the large smart TV and comfy seating area provide a cozy space to gather. Gamers will appreciate the smaller TV with gaming chairs—perfect for setting up your Xbox. Cards, board games and puzzles are available for extra fun!

Inside the House: The interior of the home is designed for comfort and relaxation. The open kitchen/living/dining room features a gorgeous cathedral knotty pine ceiling and two-story windows facing West for sunsets on the lake. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals and the fast fiber Wi-Fi will connect you to your favorite streaming services for movie night. With two family rooms, four bedrooms, four bathrooms and enormous deck and yard, this spacious home comfortably accommodates several families or small golf groups.

Nearby Attractions:
While Peaceful Pines feels like a secluded hideaway, you’re only minutes away from all the action. Visit The Lure Bar & Grill for a great meal, rent a pontoon or dock your boat here to enjoy the lake. The nearby town of Rome offers 5 golf courses at Sand Valley and Lake Arrowhead, restaurants, a brewery, mini golf, a splash pad, and a Friday Farmers Market. Plus, the Nekoosa Ho-Chunk Casino is just 10 minutes away, while the Wisconsin Dells is a short 40-minute drive, perfect for a full day of family fun.

Shared pier is not for overnight boat docking but can be used for loading/unloading during the day, weather permitting.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.

Security camera details: Ring doorbell camera and camera on back deck.

Dock details: Per HOA there is no overnight parking at dock area. Boats need to be out of the water for overnight. Day time, all day is fine.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
