One of our favourite stays in the world. Have returned three times now and will be keeping it in the rotation. Restaurant staff are always on Bahamian time, but the drivers (to Old Fort), Freddy at the pool bar, and the turn-down staff are extra kind, and we always appreciate them.

We loved our stay here. The service is unmatched, the restaurants are incredible and the location couldn’t be more convenient - a quick 10 minute drive from the airport. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean and you get a boutique feel with all the amenities that a big resort has (dining options, spa, fitness, a movie theatre, etc). We will be back!

Convenient for the airport. Rooms were nice and facilities ( pool and gym). However, the gym air con was not on high enough and therefore too hot, there was no water in the gym in the morning, there were no towels in the pool showers and generally the service to get drinks outside was slow.

The Hotel is very quiet, which we appreciated enormously, beautiful pool and enough lounge chairs also. The Italian restaurant has an interesting menu and is tasty, the bottle of wines are over priced, I know because we are wine consumers and connoisseurs. You will enjoy THE ISLAND HOTEL

This might be my favorite hotel in the world. We stay there frequently and each time I feel both at home and another world away. Beyond the oversized rooms, treetop property and ritzy location of Lyford Cay; I appreciate the thoughtful design of open work spaces, fabulous decor and intimate, tropical garden. It’s a wonderful alternative to the area’s large resorts and casinos. Dinner at Yellowbird, TERN Contemporary Art Gallery and the authentic Italian Market are lovely and the treetop views from both restaurants, make a sleepover worthwhile.

The boutique atmosphere, the setting and amenities ( exercise classes, spa, pool, dining all lovely. Common areas are lovely. Stunning spacious rooms and baths with lovely amenities. Service staff very professionals. Ladies in the Spa are awesome! Exercise instructor was great as well!

My room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly, pleasant helpful and welcoming. The hotel offered a variety of restaurants for dining; my favorite was Yellowbell. I enjoyed my stay here because it provided a calm and laid back environment. I was able to rest and relax and have fun. My only concern was the description of the room, The Marina View Room, which did not offer a view of the Marina. The Manager advised this was the actual name for the 2nd floor rooms and not rooms that allow you to see the Marina.They are working on changing that description on their website because it is very misleading. However, overall I would say it is a very nice and inviting hotel where the staff is attentive to your needs. I would recommend it for your next vacation.

Imagine a wonderful private enclave with several wonderful restaurants, curated shopping, stunning rooms, suites, and duplex apartments - this is the Island House. The staff is there for every need or want. Truly exceptional and anticipated our needs. I am missing the crispy and spicy tofu poke.
