Come back again.
Amazingly peaceful, beautiful and spectacular views from high above the Bahamas! We loved this place!! If you want to relax away from the rush of tourists in Nassau this is the perfect place. Very clean, Bed and Breakfast vibe with a wonderful restaurant and free continental breakfast. So simple and relaxing with just 10 rooms it’s truly a hidden gem of a hotel. Relaxed atmosphere, fabulous bar staff and picturesque pool and views. We can’t say enough positives about our 3 night stay here! John took us to a few places around the area to eat. Lovely people! We will recommend to anyone looking for a truly relaxing, no hassle stay away from the rush of people in downtown. We will be back!

Friendly staff and allowed early check in. Even upgraded us to the suite as our booked room was not yet ready
The room was spotless, and had every I needed. The private balcony was amazing, overlooking the ocean.
The staff was friendly and courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had what I needed. They even found me some hot sauce for my hardboiled eggs at the breakfast buffet.
I'm looking forward to my next stay at A Stones Throw Away!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) – Hidden Gem with Amazing Views & Hosts
We had an awesome stay at A Stone's Throw Away—this place is a true hidden gem.
The location is perfect—close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. The views are absolutely incredible, especially overlooking the ocean—great spot to sit, unwind, and just take it all in.
What really made the stay stand out was the staff. Shan, Treasure, Chris, and John were all amazing—super friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They genuinely made us feel at home and made the trip even better. THANK YOU!
Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy, and we had zero issues during the stay. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The Indian restaurant on site was excellent as well. I had the Curry chicken and rice. My wife had the Penne pasta chicken.
We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nassau.

Stayed for one night en route to Miami. This is a beautiful place. More of a bed and breakfast vibe. Very quiet. Perfect for couples. Restaurant food was delicious too! Close to the airport and nearby buzzy towns.

The room was pretty and faced the beautiful garden and the view from the upstairs dining area was beautiful. However we did not have hot water for two days and the shower head needs to be replaced. The hotel is convenient to the airport but a 15 minute drive to Cable Beach. There is a great restaurant down the street, Solemar. We liked the privacy of the hotel and how beautiful the garden and pool was. So we didn't care much that the hot water was a problem and they were very responsive on fixing it. You definitely need a car to see the sights, however. Or splurge on taxi fare.
The hotel and staff are amazing the view was spectacular and the receptionist was very accommodating. The stairs took my breathe away literally 10/10 for me.
I loved the ocean view from my room and the sound of the waves. I was extremely busy during my trip and wished I had had more time to relax on the room's porch. Island Beach vibe. Room could use a few minor updates but I was happy with it. The two things I wished for was- 1. A gate on the spiral staircase leading directly up my room's terrace from the main floor (Other guests walked up out of curiosity a few times and it was a bit uncomfortable) Perhaps a rope at the bottom of the stairs blocking entrance when guests occupy that room would be sufficient.2-3. an iron and more clothes hangars. I know its a tourist inn but sometimes even tourists are visiting with a greater mission.
People complain about the stairs and there are a lot of them- But unless you have mobility issues more generally- after a day or two, you are fine.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Beautiful view and easy walk to the beach. The staff were SO lovely and welcoming. Our experience was great because of the hospitality we received from Shanique, Alex, and John.
This is a charming place to stay with an amazing sea view and lovely staff. The food is also delicious, so dinner is highly recommended. Close to the airport (but not noisy) which is handy too.
