We just loved Rustic Retreat… from the decor to the comfort and amenities. Our family of six, including three kids had loads of space to chill. The location was very convenient to get to anything we wanted and it was wonderful to have such a welcoming place to call home for a few days.

Rustic Retreat

We stayed at Rustic Retreat for two nights. The location was great (it was easy to get to all the places we wanted to go) and the neighborhood was lovely and peaceful. We saw a wild turkey. There were many ceiling fans plus AC which helped to cool down the place because the July heat was pretty hot outside. Kitchen and bathrooms were excellent! Sound carried easily throughout the house, but we enjoyed the big kitchen table for our family game night.

Nashville adventure.

This is a great place to stay in Nashville. Our party included 3 couples and we spent three nights exploring the city and this was a great central location. Walking in we all felt welcomed and this rustic retreat supplied us with everything we needed. Our favorite place to hang out was the screened in porch in the morning to enjoy our coffee and at the end of the night to recap all the fun activities we did throughout the day. We all would definitely stay again, it felt like home.

Very comfortable and convenient

We loved our stay at the Rustic Retreat. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding at the Gaylord Opryland and a reception at Gaylord Springs Golf Club. This home was very convenient to both locations as well as to downtown Nashville. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Nashville. Thanks Doug and Darolyn!

Best home away from home

The property was perfect, it was immediately welcoming and warm. The Christmas decorations were perfectly done and we hope to make this a tradition every Christmas.

Thanksgiving trip

Enjoyed making Thanksgiving dinner with family, then went to the Gaylord to see the ICE show. Nice way to ring in the start of the holiday season.

Country Vibe close to city

Cozy and clean. Nice table in the kitchen to enjoy meals. Keurig coffee maker and everything you need to cook and eat, just bring your food. Fireplace is lovely, we didn't use the TV. Furniture is comfortable. Beds are comfortable, trundle bed is a little squeaky. Linens are clean and lots of towels in the bathrooms. House is dark, but has lots of lights. Very cute pull chains on ceiling fans (light bulbs for light and fans for fan). Enough plug ins to charge your items. The WiFi was good. Great location, only minutes from Gaylords and Opry. 15 minutes to Broadway. Birds chirping in the morning, deer running around in the evening, a nice firepit to enjoy evenings outside with chairs and picnic table. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. The back door lock is a little difficult to work.

October Family Vacation

It was rustic and cozy. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the chilly mornings and evenings. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Very quite neighborhood.

Log Cabin in Quiet Neighborhood.

Nice home, plenty of parking easy access to main thoroughfare. It was a quiet neighborhood which our group enjoyed.

July Vacation

Overall this was a great place. The hosts were very quick to respond to any messages and accommodated us with a cooler to pack lunches for our day trips which was greatly appreciated. There was plenty of space for us to spread out, the beds were comfy, the kitchen & bathroom surfaces were clean. It was very quiet & peaceful and while it was incredibly hot outside it was nicely cooled inside. We called for a Uber/Lyft on the 4th of July to take us to Broadway for the festivities. That was very reasonable - around $15 each way. Highly recommend - it’s much cheaper than paying for parking. The only reason I did not give 5 stars on cleanliness was due to the many cobwebs hanging from the wooden beams & dust buildup on lights & stove vent screen. While some may feel this adds to the “rustic charm” for others it triggers major allergy attacks. Overall we would book this home again.

Lovely cabin close to so much!

We really enjoyed our stay. The rustic retreat was close to so many of the activities we wanted to do but it was also a great place to rest afterward. We were all comfortable in our beds and slept well. We would stay again if (when!) we visit Nashville again!

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay, nice, beautiful home. Only thing I would change is to ask for garbage cans in bedrooms and larger shampoo bottles. Was a beautiful home with gracious and very responsive hosts in a quiet neighborhood conveniently located to most everything.

Easy location

Great location with easy access. Spent 5 days/four nights at the retreat. Easy Uber/lyft ride to opry (less than $10/each way) and broadway/gulch ($25-30/ each way). The Retreat’s bedrooms were large with enough room to spread out. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils for a good breakfast. We enjoyed the front porch, drinking coffee and watching the deer and turkey. It’s a property I would recommend.

College reunion Ladies

We stayed from April 22-26. The house was charming. Even tho it was surface clean ( bathrooms, beds, kitchen, table tops) the house needs a serious deep clean. Corners, silk flower arrangements , kitchen cabinet decor, lamp shades are past dusty and moving on to dirty!

Weekend graduation celebration
