FIRSTCITY HOTEL YEOSU

"Pros: super friendly and professional staff, good mattresses (not soft, not too firm), very clean, a huge TV (to watch the WC) Cons: somewhat far from the central district (10-15 min by taxi, about 5,000-7,000 won), req for an early check-in denied (early check-in fee: 10,000 won for an hour), a bit small bathroom, my Japan-used laptop did not work ("no networks found"), which also happened at other hotels in Korea, so it was likely my laptop issue, not the hotel's fault.... The final verdict: 8.8/10 I'd stay there again. P.S. Yeosu 여수 is one of my fav cities in East Asia. It was my wife's first time to Yeosu, and she fell in love with the city: beautiful ocen views (day and night), delicioius food, friendly locals, convenient travel options (train, bus, plane, ship), etc."
