It was a nice stayover, and the front desk staff was very heartwarming. We arrived before check-in time, and they allowed us to drop luggage first. Then we walked to Nara Park, Toudaiji, and Kasuga Temple, where we met lots of Nara deer.
The weather was a bit cold but might be very beautiful during cherry blossom season.
The room was in Japanese style with tatami and mattresses, which is good for people who are not used to Japanese beds.
What we were not so satified with was that the room was small and the TV was small; there was no refrigerator in the room.
There was a washlet and a wash tank in the room. The air conditioner looked pretty new and worked well.
Ryokan also provided private hot spring bathing time, around 40 minutes. We enjoyed the private hotspring time and actually had fun.
We really enjoyed the time and are glad we had a stay-out in Nara.
