Amazing Maui Experience

We loved staying at the Kahana Sunset! The property is beautiful and our kids loved having a pool and the beach! Our unit was awesome and had everything we needed.

Great Location

We go to Maui every year. This was a good condo and in a great location. Our only complaint was the upstairs mattress. Everything else was fantastic.

Family time

We had a wonderful week enjoying three generations of family (adults). We have been coming back to Kahana Sunset for 25 years now! We were so impressed when a local who lives in the neighborhood and was our guide on an outrigger trip, told us he would recommend to never go elsewhere, that Kahana Sunset was the perfect location. We agree! The unit was nice, but some of the furniture could use an update

The views from the condo are breathtaking— sitting on our balcony and watching sunrises , sunsets and whales — and just a few steps away snorkeling with sea turtles on a small, private like beach. Our family of 5 (including 3 teen boys) were comfortable in the condo - great kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Kahana Sunset is a very special place and we feel so fortunate to have been a guest here.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kahana Sunset is the absolute best complex on West Maui. You end up paying for excursions and wishing you’d kept your money because everything extra you paid for is already at the condo. Great snorkeling? Check. Sea turtles every day? Yup. Magical sunsets each evening? You know it. The only issue we’ve had with our specific unit was the downstairs AC. Management requested a repair man for the next day but he never came. To be fair though, everyone was evacuated the day before for a tsunami so I’m not holding that against them.

There was no beach at all and that was a huge disappointment for us, because the pictures (and visits to the location in the past) led us to believe there was a beach to enjoy on sight. There was no beach at all. This takes it from a 5 star rating to a 2.5 star rating for me and my family.

We have stayed here many times at A3 and wanted a bit of an upgrade (air conditioning and better furniture, and the automatic sun screen). My one and only complaint is the main bedroom has a old bed. My wife and I had to sleep in the guest room as it was much more comfortable. Everything else was great!

The only suggestion I would recommend to management is to replace the mattress in the master bedroom, it has seen its better days. The 2 full size beds in the 2nd bedroom are very comfortable. The room has about everything you need to cook besides spices and oils. The resort maintenance crew also has all the beach stuff you need to borrow as well. They had plenty of sand toys, boogie boards and some beach chairs as well.

An absolute must for families!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been to Kahana Sunset multiple times but this was our first experience in the A Units. A4 is absolutely fantastic. The view is amazing and the setup is incredibly functional. Setting aside a couple minor issues with an A/C unit and the stove, this unit was amazing. Take all the snorkel trips you like to “see turtles” but you will never see more than directly below this unit. Are you looking to go to Hawaii and do nothing but be in the water and make some incredible meals, this is your stop.

Unobstruced views of Molokai and the beautiful blue ocean. The unit is updated, comfortable, exctremely clean and includes everything you would need to have a wonderful carefree vacation. We loved it so much, we are already booked for A4 for next year! Kahana Sunset is what Aloha is all about!

We had fun playing at the beach and swimming in the pool. The furniture was a little dated but still comfortable. We used the kitchen to cook breakfast. The only bugs we saw were some tiny aunts in the bathrooms and bedrooms.
