Rooms are very well decorated however they are quite small. Very comfortable and the courtyard is a great spot to just chill looking out to sea. Adjacent pubs and restaurants were good value particularly the K Kitchen bar and restaurant was excellent.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable and the hotel despite its age was in very good condition, so it was a great place to experience the art deco nature of Napier. Restaurant downstairs was great and shopping and cafes in walking distance. Will stay again!!

Very small room, described as “superior“ which would not describe this room. Uneven floors in the hallway as well as inside the room! Apparently uninformed staff regarding nearby locations and activities. Essentially no services in the hotel, including cleaning and tidying the room! The only good thing to say is it is in a great location.

Amazing Hotel.

What an amazing Hotel. Big well-appointed rooms with an old worldy charm. Excellent bars and restaurant for breakfast. Right in middle of CBD for easy walking.

The room was clean, comforable and the amenities were o.k. Great location. The shower was very good but the rooms were small with the bed taking up much of the room and only one comfortable chair to sit in. Was surpirsed that no cold water supplied in the fridge and coffee was in a coffee bag, small things I know but would have expected more for the price. Quite noisy so not good if you are a light sleeper, other parts of the hotel may not be as bad. staff were available and pleasant. We had a nice stay but possibly expected a bit more for the price we paid.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was nicely renovated in an Arr Deco retro cool theme, plus it’s located in the middle of town so an easy walk to cafes and shops.

The room was lovely clean and spacious. Great to be able to use the balconies in the mornings and evenings. Our room was cleaned on our first day but not on our second day which was a little disappointing.

Had a pleasant one night stay here. The room was small but charming and comfortable, shower was excellent, and bed was just right. We stayed on the 1st floor and had access to the roof terrace which was an unexpected bonus. We could not hear either the bar or restaurant below.
