"予約完了後、数時間でホテル側から「設備の破損があり修理に4〜5日掛かる。キャンセルしてくれ」とのメールが来た。この時点でキャンセル料が100%掛かる時間帯。こちらからキャンセル手続きをすると宿泊代が戻らないかもしれないと考えてそのままにしておき東京の窓口に電話。何度かけても時間を変えて掛けても日にちを変えて掛けても繋がらない。祝日で休みだったのかもしれないが旅先で問い合わせ窓口に電話が全然繋がらないのはとても困る。当日、直接ホテルに出向くが看板が無く分かりにくい。やっと見つけたら開いていない。誰もいない。隣のアパートにオーナーか従業員が居たので事情を聞くと、彼らからキャンセル手続きはした。彼らにもサイト側からの返信が無いとのこと。最終的に数日が経過して代金の払い戻しのメールが届いた。窓越しに眺めた部屋はサイトの紹介通り良さそうな感じだったので泊まれなかったのは残念だ。入口の階段に多数の野良犬の糞が落ちていたのはいただけない。また同じ地域に行くことがあれば今度は泊まって評価を出したいと思う。"

"We thought we had booked a 4 bedroom villa but it was 4 rooms with on suites opening out onto a verandah by a small pool. Host appeared to be booking rooms individually.Communication through stayz with host was dreadful. Host didn’t reply to 3 messages over 24 hours. Had to ring stayz several times. When 3 of us arrived he said he had already booked 2 rooms and had no record of our booking. I think it was a language barrier. "My wife and I stayed at Riff Hikkaduwa for 3 nights. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute tuk-tuk ride from Hikkaduwa town but is easily accessible. The hotel is clean and staff are very nice. The room we stayed in was spacious and well equipped overlooking the beach, which was stunning. The food is tasty with multiple options available for breakfast and dinner. The pool has a lovely view out towards the beach. My wife also enjoyed a back massage at the spa. We would definitely recommend this hotel."
