Room was clean and staff were nice and friendly. Buffet breakfast was enjoyable.
Was very disappointed in communication regarding booking an airport transfer for my arrival. My flight arrived late at night so wanted an easy transfer from the airport to the hotel as this was also my first time in Nairobi. I emailed to arrange this and I got a reply asking for my flight details to confirm however after this email I did not get a reply back so I emailed again 3 days prior to arrival to double check and confirm the airport transfer but still no reply. I waited at the airport for a while in case they had it sorted but I ended up having to take an Uber. When I brought by this up during check in, they could see that I had emailed twice but was told that Uber is cheaper anyways.
The pool is heated, and property safe/clean/lovely. The staff is great, and there are good vegetarian options in the restaurant. We appreciated being able to get a late checkout, and storing luggage while we went on safari.
We would stay there again!
Overall I enjoyed my stay. All the staff were polite and welcoming. My room was ideal. That breakfast buffet was good every day, likewise the cafe, pool and gym. Next time I am in Nairobi, I will return to this hotel.
Nice hotel, clean room. Good value for the price. The food was good. Great location, close to the city center. I stayed at the Heron for 11 days. I got to know some of the staff. Alex and Bob at reception were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The dinning/cafe staff, Daniel, Alex, Emily, Felix and Bashasha were courteous and friendly and great customers service. I would definitely stay at the Heron again.
Heron Court is scoring high on friendliness and good service. Convenient location in quiet area, - and still within short walking distance from city center (CBD). Breakfast simple but sufficient, the cafeteria is pleasant, ..
Cons: The bed was on harder side for me, and except for early in morning "hot" water in shower was luke warm (at best).
All-in-all: Heron Court remains my "home away from home" in Nairobi.
