Un bel hotel a deux pas du palace. très bien situé, tres confortable. Légèrement bruyant pour les chambres côté rue. Service de qualité et accueil identique. Nous y reviendrons avec des groupes sans hésitation, un magnifique hôtel dans Mysore.

Nice and friendly
The stuff are pleasant, the interior of the hotel is unique and the front view is dazzling
Stayed there for a few days with my family, booked through Expedia. Was surprised to learn upon check-in of an undisclosed yet compulsory fee of Rs. 2000 per person for a New Years party I didn't plan to attend as I have small kids. Complained, at least got the kids removed from the fees, then every time I came or went from the hotel the staff harassed me for the fee. The hotel itself is quite dated and old, food for breakfast is only so-so, pool is absolutely freezing cold with no indoor entertainment options for children, etc. Internet is SLOW and costs Rs. 500 for 24 hours. Asked at front desk for help finding a few sights to see Mysore and was given completely incorrect information about where to go and what to see, leaving me lost in the city. Booked a car through travel desk and it was quite expensive for the short drive we took. Overall, I would have let everything go if staff had not been so insistent or rude about the compulsory heavy fee that was not disclosed at time of booking. In the end, we went to the party, and it was very boring. In general, recommend saving your money and stay somewhere else!!
Location is good to reach any tourist sites in Mysore. Food is excellent. Hotel staffs are very nice. Children's enjoyed the atmosphere .
Overall it is good advice from hotel. Com for suggesting this hotel.
Make sure you get the Premier Room, as these rooms are nicer and well worth the little extra. Service was of a 5 star hotel - everyone was nice and very professional. At checkin we were given cranberry juice and a very nice women waked us around the hotel and showed us to our room and refused to take a tip. Wow! A+ We stayed on the 4 floor and water pressure was not good, but not a big deal for me. The room was clean, great price, central located. great breakfast buffet. No issues would stay again.
The impression online and on visiting is totally different; the room smelt of urine so we asked to change - which they did straight away and the service was very good. I saw 3 rooms, all of which looked very tired, especially the bathrooms which were closer to 2* and were really shabby. In my opinion, this isn't close to a 4* hotel and I'd urge people not to expect it. That said, we were in the 'executive' room which isn't the most expensive type, so these may be better. Breakfast was okay, plenty of choice and again, service good. Get a sense that this was once a far better hotel, pity but wouldn't go here again.
The hotel is in an ideal position for tourists - just ten mins walk from the Palace, which is the major sight in the city. (Try to be in Mysore on a Sunday so you can see the palace lit up from 7-8 pm; it's very impressive). Our bedroom was large, comfortable, well furnished with a nice shower room. The staff are friendly, attentive and prompt in attending to queries or needs. The buffet dinner is good value, tasty and plentiful (as usual get in early to avoid that "remainder/warm" problem that always comes with buffets). You can eat by the large and attractive pool, which would be lovely, but the lighting is by candles and a bit "dim/romantic", which is strange as they have a massive sports TV screen playing.
Overall, a good place to stay in Mysore which I would recommend to friends.
Hotel Sandesh was very near to main city, but surrounding area was pathetic. Towels were clean but it seems, these were used for many years and were not up to the mark. Dustbin was lousy, tea cups were not clean. Quality of furniture is dated...could be 15years old, needs replacement. Mini bar was there, but refrigerator was not working. Food was good though, by the pool. I would't recommend this hotel for person looking for a 3/4 star property. This is at best 1.5 to a 2 star rated property.
I had a wonderful stay in this hotel last weekend. I found it was not very expensive in comparison to the services they offered. My 9 year old daughter was comparing this hotel with the ones in USA. I got a good deal when I booked online with Expedia. Last but not the least we loved the complimentary B'fast where we had options galore both continental as well as Indian. Would sure visit this again very soon.
Everybody at the hotel was very friendly and very helpful. If there was anything we needed (e.g. internet cable, location of a pharmacy, arrangement of travel, good places to sight see) they were willing to help. The place was very neat and tidy and the rooms were kept very clean. The hotel itself was very nice. They have wi-fi; however, it is a bit slow. If the slowness is a problem, though, you can just go down to internet cafe near the lobby. The hotel is also within walking distance to Mysore Palace, and is very close to the Devaraja Market. It is also a short distance to Chamundi Hills, the zoo, and many other beautiful places to visit. The hotel is also reasonably priced. I would certainly stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.
IT WAS A VERY SATISFYING EXPERIENCE FOR ME WHEN I HAD A BUSINESS TRIP . THE LOCATION,AMBIENCE,SERVICE AND FOOD WERE EXCELLENT. WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND FOR BUSINESS AND FAMILY TRIPS

avoid if looking for a star hotel experience
this hotel lacks the basic ethics of a star hotel . the reception does not know whether you have prepaid the room tariff or yet to do so. i asked a steward how far drc cinema's is from the hotel and the blunt reply is " i don't know , i am not a local ". instead of finding out and info me. i asked the currency dealing desk for a change for rs 500. answer was no change. i wanted to speak to the lobby manager mr jerry or jaibir as heard on telephone on the services aspect . they charge rs 33 for a local call because manager was out of the hotel. only on protest they waived the call charge. The smart card for openning the door doesn't work in the first go . only on repeated trials it works not before your irritation has reached the thresh hold. the lifts are also controlled by the smart card . so same persistant problem of getting to operate the lift with the smart card. The interiors of the hotel are good. food is average. services of the staff is pathetic.rooms are clean but the mattress was sagging. there was block booking on the day we stayed 24 mar -26 mar 2012. those people thought they owned the hotel and were disturbing other guest . when i complained to the lobby manager about the disturbance he was not even apologetical. just avoid this hotel. there must be better choices i'm sure.
