Good stay overall. It’s placed conveniently from everything, a few mins to the beach or to a store. Food wasn’t too far either. We didn’t travel more than 20 mins for food. I do wish that the floors was mopped a little better but I was satisfied overall

the building is older, but it's charming and the renovation in my room 201 was nice. be patient for the hot water, it just takes a while to get there. there are other quirks about the property but the people are cool and the location is top tier. if you are chill to the locals, you're good to go. be a gentleman. you will not be disappointed.

I like the location. I could walk to the beach, drive only 9 minutes to Broadway at the beach and is close to too many restaurants. Very convenient.

Overall great stay

The people that run it are extremely nice and very friendly. Don’t let the outside conditions distract you (they are literally across from the ocean). It’s within walking distance of the boardwalk, less then 1.5 miles from broadway at the beach.

Saw some really terrible and recent reviews before coming here so I was nervous. Writing this to say they are completely wrong..I will say it’s definitely very dated and the appliances weren’t pleasing to look at but the room was incredibly clean (no bugs anywhere like others stated) and the staff was UNBELIEVABLY kind and caring. The woman who worked the night we arrived and the tall security guy were so sweet and accommodating! The bed was also incredibly comfortable! I slept amazing! We even added an extra night! It most definitely serves it’s purpose as a clean safe hotel close to the beach!

Awful.

This place was so bad. The grounds haven’t been cleaned in years. The “pet” area was a niche filled with 3 motorcycles and a trailer. The bed nearest the door had to be moved out of the way to get in. The electrical outlets were all behind furniture. The towels were like sandpaper. The hotel was actually called “The Lancer”, hard to find when you believe the name is “OYO”. The photos depicted are at least 30 years old , when the place was new. The office is actually a window where you check in from the outside. The room had smells and dust. The neighborhood was really scary. The part of town that you don’t go into after dark. It’s also supposed to be on the beach, it’s actually a few blocks away. The pool was slimy looking, green and with a lot of debris. Just do yourself a favor and do not stay here. The clerk was nice when we checked in but as soon as we came back to check out , he was very rude. They did give us our money back after several complaints. Spend the extra $$ and get something clean,check out the few photos we were able to get.

The staff is very attentive. This is our second year staying here because of the convenience and we know our way around the main attractions. Just remember that check out is at 10am and they do have it posted. Will go back next year God willing.
